Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, monitored the first day of the general secondary school exams (first round) for the 2024/2025 academic year through the ministry's central operations room. Students in the science and arts streams are taking the exams using both the old and new systems in religious education and national education.

Before the exams began, the Minister was keen to communicate with all directors of the education directorates present in the local operations rooms and ensure the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Interior to secure the examination committees' headquarters in all governorates and ensure the delivery of exam papers to all committees.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif directed the directors of the directorates to make every effort to ensure the smooth running of the exams. He also directed them to provide an appropriate environment for students and to ensure reassurance, psychological comfort, and calm for the students to take the exams in a disciplined manner.

The Minister emphasized ensuring that students enter exam halls without any electronic devices, implementing strict inspection procedures, and dealing firmly and decisively with inspections before entering exam halls to ensure discipline and take immediate action against any violations.

The Minister also instructed directors of directorates to ensure that committee heads review the cameras inside exam halls before and after the exam begins, ensure that questions are distributed on time at the start of the exam, ensure that students enter exam halls on time, and ensure that exam supervisors accurately record student data.
