The Minister of Education and the President of Helwan University sign a cooperation protocol

Today, Tuesday, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Dr. El-Sayed Qandil, President of Helwan University, signed a cooperation protocol to provide a "professional diploma for educational leadership and national security" for the cadres selected within the presidential initiative (1000 school principals) from young teachers.
In his speech, Dr. Reda Hegazy welcomed the fruitful cooperation with Helwan University, stressing the importance of preparing human cadres in the field of education, especially young people, and giving them various packages and training programs aimed at educating, preparing and qualifying them through the Ministry and the strong partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Dr. Reda Hijazi expressed his pride in the young teachers who were chosen within the framework of the presidential initiative (1000 school principals), indicating that they are being prepared and qualified at the highest level to become shining models that add to the education sector, expressing his wishes that they employ what they received during the diploma when they occupy the positions of school principals.
It is worth noting that Dr. Reda Hegazy visited the cadres selected within the presidential initiative (1000 school principals) at their place of study yesterday, where he discussed with them what is expected of them as an educational leadership in order to activate the initiative of the President of the Republic.
For his part, Dr. El-Sayed Qandil, President of Helwan University, confirmed that the university has a large educational sector that includes faculties of education, art education, music education, physical education for boys and girls, and home economics, indicating that the educational curriculum is one of the university's priorities.
He added that in addition to the interest in the educational aspect, the university pays great attention to student activity, which mainly contributes to building the student, expressing the university's readiness to enhance joint cooperation with the ministry in various fields, through the huge capabilities that the university possesses distributed inside and outside the campus.
The protocol aims to educate, prepare and qualify cadres working in the educational field in the education sector through an intensive professional diploma program entitled "Educational Leadership and National Security" at the Faculty of Education at Helwan University.
The protocol includes agreement to form a partnership and cooperation aimed at holding educational activities within the framework of the professional diploma "Educational Leadership and National Security" in several subjects: educational planning skills, the psychology of educational leadership, managing negotiation and school meetings, managing school curricula and activities, leading change and organizational culture, and societal responsibility, in addition to digital transformation in educational administration, sustainable leadership, national security and strategic leadership, national security and leadership of the Fifth Industrial Revolution.
The protocol also includes that the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the Faculty of Education at Helwan University grant accredited certificates to the participants after successfully passing the “Professional Diploma in Educational Leadership and National Security.” Certificates of appreciation are also granted to the faculty members.
The signing of the protocol was attended by Dr. Hossam Rifai, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Walid Al-Srouji, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Emad Abu Dahab, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Hossam Hamdy, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Happy Hosni, Assistant to the President for Engineering Affairs, Dr. Omar Salman, Financial Advisor, Dr. Dr. Maha Abu Hatab is the Director of the Master's Program in International Education Management and Director of the INEMA Center of Excellence.
On the part of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Akram Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Curriculum Development, Counselor Ashraf Sayed, Legal Adviser, Ms. Nadia Abdullah, Head of the Central Administration for Teachers Affairs, and Dr. Rabab Zaidan, Director General of the General Administration for Educational Leadership Affairs, attended the event.
