The Minister of Education and the Governor of Giza inaugurated three new schools
Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Eng. Adel El-Naggar, Governor of Giza, inaugurated three schools this morning in several educational directorates in Giza Governorate. This comes as part of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education's preparations for the new academic year, which is scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 20.
At the beginning of their tour, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education, and Eng. Adel El-Naggar, Governor of Giza, inaugurated Dr. Abdel-Sened Yamama Secondary School in the Manial Shiha area, affiliated with the Abu El-Nomros Educational Directorate, where they inspected the school's classrooms.
The school covers an area of 3,000 square meters and comprises two fully equipped buildings constructed according to the latest educational construction standards. Each building contains a total of 24 fully equipped classrooms, including 12 for boys and 12 for girls. The school also includes laboratories, equipped sports fields, and halls for various activities, in addition to a science library.
Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif and the Governor also inaugurated the Al-Salam Official Language School, affiliated with the Haram Education Directorate. This distinguished addition to the region's educational system is evident. The school features 28 classrooms, as well as modern laboratories and a fully equipped library, meeting students' needs and contributing to an attractive learning environment.
The Minister and Governor inspected the kindergarten classrooms and several other classrooms at the school to ensure the readiness of the halls and their equipment, and to ensure the provision of a suitable learning environment that maximizes student learning.
The Minister and Governor also inaugurated Kamal El-Ganzouri Basic Education School, a new educational edifice added to the governorate's educational system. It features 33 fully equipped classrooms, modern laboratories, and integrated facilities, providing a distinguished learning environment that contributes to improving the quality of the educational process and serving the region's residents.
During the tour, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, emphasized that the opening of the new schools falls within the framework of the state's plan to expand the establishment and development of educational institutions, which will positively impact students' academic achievement and provide an attractive learning environment.
The Minister noted that the Ministry has ensured the completion of all maintenance work, the improvement of classrooms and facilities, and the readiness of schools in terms of cleanliness and the availability of student seats before the start of the new school year. This will ensure the smooth running of the educational process from day one and provide all the means necessary to enable students to engage in integrated educational and pedagogical activities.
The Minister added that the Ministry's primary goal is to provide a safe and attractive educational environment and ensure a disciplined start to the school year, achieving the objectives of the educational process.
For his part, Eng. Adel El-Naggar, Governor of Giza, emphasized that the governorate prioritizes education and is making continuous efforts to provide full support to the educational system through fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Education. This will ensure the removal of any obstacles to the implementation of new educational projects and the provision of educational services that keep pace with modern requirements.
Al-Najjar added that the new schools will directly contribute to reducing student overcrowding in classrooms, emphasizing the governorate's ongoing commitment to cooperating with various relevant state and civil society entities to provide land for the construction of new schools to address population growth and reduce high densities.
The Giza Governor explained that the education system this year is witnessing the introduction of 22 new schools and expansions at a cost of EGP 511 million, providing 619 new classrooms that will contribute to reducing overcrowding and improving the quality of educational services provided to students.
The Governor noted that this year, schools have been supported with 30,000 new desk desks and 10,000 modern blackboards to meet the needs of classrooms and expansions, enhancing the provision of a suitable learning environment for students and supporting the continued advancement of the educational process within the governorate.
The Minister and Governor were accompanied during the tour by Major General Yosry Salem, Assistant Minister for General Authority for Educational Buildings Affairs.
