Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, witnessed this evening the closing ceremony of the 2023 Ramadan session, organized by the Egyptian Federation for School Sports, headed by Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, which was held in the International Hall of the Police Sports Federation. .

At the beginning of his speech, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, welcomed the attendees, expressing his happiness at the activities of the end of the Ramadan session for the academic year 2022/2023, which is the culmination of serious and continuous cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and comes within the framework of implementing the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President The Republic calling for the development of the school sports system to raise the health and physical efficiency of Egyptian school students.

Dr. Reda Hegazy appreciated the cooperation between the Ministries of Education and Youth and Sports, which works to build the human being, as directed by the political leadership, through the Sports Day, which began at the beginning of the school year. He thanked Major General Muhammad Al-Taher, Director General of the Police Sports Federation, for holding a competition. Today in the Police Sports Union, in which 20 governorates participated, and 2000 students practiced sports and 450 students participated in the final qualifiers, indicating that the goal that we seek to achieve, preserve and support is practicing sports with the participation and solidarity of the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the leadership of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi.

Dr. Reda Hijazi stressed that the quality of life is achieved not only by the student obtaining high grades during his studies, but also by the student enjoying good physical fitness, indicating that the practice of various activities, whether sports, theatrical, cultural or artistic, contributes to the real return of students to school, stressing on The role of the school in shaping personality and encouraging, developing and investing talents.

In his speech, the Minister of Youth and Sports said: "All thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Education and Technical Education for his efforts in the field of education, as well as with the Egyptian Federation for School Sports, and he also extended his thanks and gratitude to Major General Dr. All competitions with clubs and national teams.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, affirmed the ministry’s support for student activities within Egyptian schools, and its keenness to implement a package of programs and activities for students, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, noting that there is a mandate and direction from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to pay attention to building personality and interest in physical life and preserving Ali health and upbringing at a young age.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy explained the Ministry's interest in student unions, and its keenness to meet with them on an ongoing basis to learn about the aspirations and needs of Egyptian school students; To implement programs and projects compatible with their desires within the framework of cooperation between the Ministries of Youth and Sports and the Ministries of Education and Technical Education.

During her speech, Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities at the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and Vice President of the Egyptian Federation for School Sports, said that sport is a real gain for the body, mind and spirit, and the athlete knows no loss, noting that the Ramadan session took place with the participation of more than 250 male and female students in sports. Swimming and 20 teams from 20 governorates in football, through strong competitions throughout the holy month of Ramadan, where human relations arose between the students, and the boundaries of distances were removed and sports brought them together, in order for each of them to reach their dreams of reaching the championship.

During the ceremony, the two ministers watched a documentary showing the stages of the Ramadan session in the fields of swimming and football, an art show entitled "Prepare for Green" in which students from Gharbia Governorate participated, and another show entitled "Delight" presented by students from Cairo Governorate.

The two ministers also witnessed the final match for the first and second places between the football teams of the Directorates of Education in Qalyubia and Gharbia, where the Gharbia team won the championship.

At the end of the ceremony, the two ministers honored the winning teams in the championship, handing over medals to the third place, which was won by the Minya governorate team, and the second place by the Qalyubia governorate team, and the tournament cup was handed over to the first place, which was won by the Gharbia governorate team.

It is worth noting that this tournament included the participation of 20 governorates, where the football draw was held on Saturday, 8 April, in the Education City on the 6th of October, followed by the tournament qualifiers, where the teams were divided into four groups, each group included (5) governorates, came in the first group Each of the governorate teams (Gharbia, Cairo, Suez, Red Sea, and Port Said), and the second group included the governorates (Sharqia, Damietta, Sohag, Beheira, and Ismailia), and the third group included the governorates (Monofia, North Sinai, Beni Suef, Fayoum, and Dakahlia). The fourth group included the governorates of (Kafr El-Sheikh, Giza, Alexandria, Qalyubia, and Minya).

On the part of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for Administrative Development and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office, Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities and Vice President of the Egyptian School Sports Federation, Dr. Jehan Allam, Director General of the General Administration of Physical Education, and Nasser Hassan attended Director of the Directorate of Education in Gharbia.

On the part of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Major General Ismail Al-Far, Head of the Youth Sector, Dr. Sonia Donia, Head of the Central Administration for Sports Development, Dr. Amr Al-Haddad, Assistant Minister, and Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Director General of Sports Federations and Specific Committees, were also present. Major General Mohamed Al-Taher, Director General of the Police Sports Federation, also attended. .
