The Minister of Education continues his tour to monitor the start of the new school year
Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, continued his field tour to monitor the progress of the educational process with the start of the new 2025/2026 school year. He visited a number of schools affiliated with the Ain Shams and Salam Education Directorates in Cairo Governorate, as part of his commitment to ensuring regular classes from day one.
Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif inspected Imam Muhammad Abdo Elementary School, which houses approximately 1,200 first-grade students. He inspected several classrooms and ensured that students were receiving their textbooks and that classroom capacity was adequate.
The Minister then headed to Mahmoud Khater Elementary School, affiliated with the Ain Shams Education Directorate, which houses 1,295 students. He inspected first-grade classrooms and ensured the regular delivery of textbooks to students. He also monitored classroom capacity.
During the visit, an open dialogue took place between the Minister and a number of students about the beginning of the school year. He urged them to work hard and commit from day one to maximize the learning experience.
The Minister also held a dialogue with the school's Arabic language teachers about the new curriculum. They praised its simplification and emphasized that the availability of assessment books helps them perform their work with ease and efficiency.
The Minister directed teachers to focus on developing students' reading and writing skills from the early grades, as this is the cornerstone of building a strong educational personality. He emphasized the need to take into account individual differences among students to ensure the highest levels of academic achievement.
The Minister also visited Osama Bin Zaid Preparatory School, affiliated with the Al-Salam Education Directorate, where he met with parents present in front of the school and listened to their opinions and comments on the progress of the educational process. He emphasized that the Ministry prioritizes meeting the needs of students and parents and providing an appropriate educational environment that supports their children's success.
During his tour of the school, the Minister inspected a number of classrooms and ensured that the educational process was proceeding smoothly.
The Minister also reviewed school textbook stores to ensure their availability and timely delivery to students, ensuring a smooth start to school.
At the conclusion of his tour, the Minister praised the regular student attendance and the schools' readiness in terms of equipment and commitment. He emphasized that these efforts reflect the cooperation of all concerned parties to provide an attractive and safe educational environment that contributes to the success of the school year from its first day.
In this context, the Minister confirmed that his field visits will continue in the coming days across various governorates to monitor the regularity of school and student attendance. He noted that the primary goal is to ensure discipline in the educational process from the first day.
