Minister of Education Approves Second-Term Exam Results for High School Certificate
Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, approved today, Thursday, the results of the second-term exams for students completing the General Secondary Certificate for the 2024/2025 academic year. The results showed a 90.6% pass rate for the New System and 90.7% for the Old System.
The total number of applicants for the second-term exams was 154,977 students, of whom 154,915 attended, and 140,318 passed.
Regarding the new system for the Science (Science) division, 85,119 students took the second-term exams, of whom 8,5081 attended, and 76,042 passed, for a total pass rate of 89.4%.
As for the Science and Mathematics (New System) division, 15,365 students took the second-round exams, of whom 15,355 attended. 13,975 students passed, for a total success rate of 91%.
Meanwhile, 42,344 students took the second-round exams in the Arts (New System) division, of whom 42,338 attended. 39,292 students passed, for a total success rate of 92.8%.
As for the Science and Mathematics (Old System) division, 7,840 students took the second-round exams, of whom 7,834 attended. 7,143 students passed, for a total success rate of 91.2%.
For the old system (Science and Mathematics), the number of applicants for the second-round exams was 1,488 students, of whom 1,486 attended. The number of successful applicants was 1,342, with a total success rate of 90.3%.
For the old system (Literature), the number of applicants for the second-round exams was 2,821, of whom 2,821 attended. The number of successful applicants was 2,524, with a total success rate of 89.5%.
