The Minister of Education directs a package of decisions to develop the educational system in the governorate:
- Operating a STEM school to care for gifted and gifted students in Arish
- Establishing an international public school in the Land of the Outstanding Schools complex, comprising 14 classrooms
- Paying educational convoys to the governorate so that students can benefit from qualified teachers
- Preparing a theatrical show at the level of the educational directorate in the governorate
- Activating school support groups to improve students' academic level
Launching the "Empowering the Egyptian Child" initiative, in partnership with the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, civil society organizations and UNICEF, in four governorates, including North Sinai.
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, visited North Sinai Governorate, as part of the governorate’s celebration of its 41st national day, where he was received by Major General Muhammad Abdel Fadil Shusha, Governor of North Sinai, and Major General Yousry Salem, Assistant Minister for the Affairs of the General Authority for Buildings. Education and Hamza Radwan, Director of the Directorate of Education in the province.
The minister expressed his happiness at visiting the governorate, offering congratulations to the people of North Sinai on the occasion of the anniversary of its liberation, and its return to the embrace of the homeland, which is the culmination of the sacrifices of the Egyptian people and the heroism of its armed forces and its righteous martyrs to defend the capabilities of the homeland and protect its national security.
The minister also praised the great efforts made by Major General Muhammad Abdel Fadil Shusha, Governor of North Sinai, to upgrade various services in the governorate, appreciating the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Education to develop the educational system.
Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed the importance that the Ministry of Education and Technical Education attaches to continuing efforts to develop Sinai through an integrated plan to build the Egyptian person, within the framework of major national projects implemented by the state in the governorate, indicating that the Ministry continues to support the educational process for the children of North Sinai in the various educational stages. Paying attention to the educational quality in the governorate’s schools, and making education available to all without discrimination.
During his visit to the governorate, North Sinai, Dr. Reda Hegazy and Major General Muhammad Abdel-Fadil Shusha, in the city of Sheikh Zuweid, in the presence of a number of deputies of the People's Assembly and tribal sheikhs, inaugurated the Shallaq Preparatory School after the completion of its comprehensive maintenance, and the construction of a wall for the school. The school area is 3000 square meters, and it includes 8 semesters, plus complementary spaces.
The minister and the governor listened to a detailed explanation about the comprehensive maintenance work of the school, as they praised the efforts of the General Authority for Educational Buildings to complete the maintenance work within a short period and return the students to school. They also witnessed a folklore show for the school students.
The Minister and the Governor also inaugurated the Al-Ma’ana School for Basic Education in Sheikh Zuwayed, after it had been completely replaced and renovated. It covers an area of 3,300 square meters and includes 11 classrooms.
During the visit, the minister announced a package of decisions aimed at developing the educational system in the governorate, which included the operation of the STEM School to take care of the outstanding and gifted students in Arish, starting next year. Increasing the number of schools for outstanding students nationwide.
Dr. Reda Hegazy explained that STEM schools are characterized by teaching advanced subjects in science, technology and mathematics, and their curricula are based on integration between different subjects, designing learning outcomes that are in line with national and international standards, in addition to working on preparing graduates who are capable of logical thinking, problem-solving, innovation and creativity. Initiative, communication, and teamwork.
The minister also announced the establishment of an international public school in the Land of the Outstanding Schools complex, comprising 14 classrooms, stressing that international public schools have achieved great successes in light of the high demand for them, which confirms the community’s confidence in the educational system, adding that the ministry aims to expand its establishment during the coming period due to its being It offers an international educational model based on curricula designed with the latest international systems, as well as providing an opportunity for parents who wish to educate their children internationally at reasonable expenses.
And within the framework of the Ministry's keenness to provide all educational services to its students in North Sinai Governorate, Dr. Reda Hegazy announced the payment of educational convoys to the governorate; In order for students to benefit from qualified teachers, these convoys will have the help of a group of distinguished elements of experts, teachers and educational program providers in educational channels who are recognized for their competence and professional and educational experience in all subjects.
In the framework of caring for school activities and revealing students' artistic talents and skills, nurturing and investing them, the minister directed the preparation of a theatrical show at the level of the Education Directorate in North Sinai Governorate, stressing his keenness to watch the show after completing its preparation.
The minister emphasized that the ministry is making great efforts to support and upgrade the school theater due to the importance of its role in re-transmitting and developing the artistic spirit in schools and preparing a scientifically, artistically and literary educated generation.
The minister also directed the importance of activating school support groups, which aim to improve the academic level of students, taking into account the controls, implementation mechanisms and procedures regulating them at the level of educational departments in the governorate, in a manner commensurate with the standard of living and taking into account the interest of students.
The minister also announced the launch of the "Empowering the Egyptian Child" initiative in partnership between the Ministry of Education, the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, civil society organizations and UNICEF in four governorates, namely: (North Sinai - Giza - Alexandria - Sohag); With the aim of spreading and promoting positive behaviors and practices among children and their families in educational institutions and making societal change.
The minister explained that this program comes to maximize the distinguished efforts of the Ministry of Education, which it made to address the phenomena of violence, bullying and wrong behaviors, by merging them with the efforts and initiatives of civil society organizations. To create a safe and supportive school environment for children, and to promote integration and acceptance of the other. The program also aims to build the capacities of faculty members and social workers in the field of promoting positive behaviors for children, educating parents in the field of positive education, and providing opportunities for Egyptian children to develop pioneering skills, leadership and innovation through Programs (we are all social change makers) that aim to inculcate the values of belonging, concern for societal problems, teamwork and active participation for the development of the surrounding community.
For his part, Major General Mohamed Abdel-Fadil Shusha stressed that the educational process is a matter of life for the people of North Sinai, praising Dr. Reda Hegazy's keenness to maintain the ministry's priorities in developing the educational system, pointing to the doubling of the number of schools at the governorate level during the past five years to 10. double.
The governor added that 10 schools have been maintained and two schools established, adding that the inauguration of the two schools today comes within the framework of North Sinai Governorate’s celebrations of the 41st anniversary of the liberation of Sinai and the governorate’s National Day, pointing to the inauguration of a number of other development projects in various sectors on this occasion in the various centers and cities of the governorate.
