Minister of Education congratulates the "STEM" schools team

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, extended his sincere congratulations to the winning Egyptian team of students from the Schools of Excellence in Science and Technology at the conclusion of the 4th Arab Mathematics Olympiad 2024 in the Qatari capital, Doha.

The Minister praised the Egyptian students for their victory and advanced positions, expressing his appreciation, pride and pride in them for their success, noting that they represent a role model for all students.

This Olympiad is an academic gathering that keeps pace with international standards, with the aim of stimulating creativity and excellence among students of Arab countries in the field of mathematics. The participating Egyptian students have undergone an ongoing training program since the beginning of the school year, at the hands of experts at the Ministry of Education, which contributed to enhancing their academic and skill level, and qualifying them to compete in this important international forum.

The competition included competitive content covering various aspects of basic mathematical knowledge, covering the topics of geometry, algebra, number theory and combinations. This championship represented an opportunity to highlight the excellence and creativity of the participants, as the results showed that 13 students won gold medals, 16 students won silver medals, and 20 others won bronze medals, reflecting the remarkable progress in learning mathematics and encouraging Arab students to achieve high levels of performance. It is worth noting that the Arab Mathematics Olympiad is held every two years in one of the member states of the "ALECSO" organization, and this event is an academic competition that seeks to bring together creative students in mathematics from Arab countries, to highlight their distinguished skills and provide innovative solutions to creative ideas in the various topics of the competition.
