Minister of Education Participates in the Opening Activities of the 56th Cairo International Book Fair)

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, participated in the opening activities of the 56th Cairo International Book Fair, which is held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, from January 23 to February 5, 2025, at the Egypt International Exhibition and Convention Center.

The Minister's participation came as part of the participation of a number of ministers and officials, including Dr. Ahmed Hano, Minister of Culture, Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, Counselor Mahmoud Fawzy, Minister of Parliamentary and Legal Affairs and Political Communication, Dr. Nazir Ayad, Grand Mufti of the Republic, Dr. Ibrahim Saber Khalil, Governor of Cairo, and Eng. Adel Saeed Al-Najjar, Governor of Giza.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif expressed his happiness to participate in the opening of the Cairo International Book Fair, praising the good organization, and expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Culture and those in charge of the exhibition.

The Minister of Education stressed that the Ministry aims, through its participation in the exhibition, to promote cultural values ​​and instill a love of reading and innovation among students, and to provide students with the opportunity to interact with writers and authors and view the latest publications, in addition to highlighting students' talents in the fields of theater, media, and literary creativity.

The Minister pointed out that the Ministry of Education and Technical Education is keen to interact and communicate with the Cairo International Book Fair, as the Ministry's activities will include a busy program that includes student visits, and implementing meetings with writers and authors, in addition to presenting theatrical performances and artistic and poetic reviews with the participation of students from different educational stages, as these activities aim to instill the values ​​of reading and creative thinking in the souls of students.

The Minister called on all students, teachers, and parents to visit the exhibition, where daily meetings and activities will be organized to highlight students' creativity.

The Ministry is scheduled to organize a number of activities during the current session of the book fair, including organizing student visits from various directorates throughout the days of the exhibition, including students from the preparatory and secondary stages.

Other activities of the Ministry include activities related to covering the exhibition activities by students from different educational levels, and implementing press interviews and dialogues between students, writers, creators, and exhibition visitors. In addition, theatrical and creative performances, national shows, and poetry recitation segments will be presented.
