The Ministry of Education sends a letter to the educational directorates
In order to ensure the regularity of the educational process, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education sent a letter to the educational directorates regarding the organization of the October exams for the academic year 2024/2025.
The Ministry explained that for the basic education stage in its primary and preparatory cycles, and in light of what was stated in Ministerial Resolutions (136) and (137) of 2024 regarding the study and evaluation system for primary and preparatory school students, all directorates, administrations and schools must commit to preparing the October exams at the level of the educational administration through the first subject guide for all schools (official - official languages - private).
The ministry also indicated that the first subject supervisor implements three exam models that are submitted to the educational administration to distribute them to schools, so that there are three models for the subject within one class, and the exam is to be held in the second period of the school day at a rate of half a period or a period according to the relative weight of each subject and according to the specifications of the exam paper.
The ministry stressed that a committee be formed headed by the Director General of General Education and the membership of the directors of educational administrations, general guidance, and stage directors in the directorate to supervise the entire examination process, and that the exams be held in the last week of October according to a unified schedule determined by the directorate, taking into account all official holidays, in addition to the evaluation of the first and second grades of primary school by the subject teacher during the class period.
As for the October exams for the academic year 2024/2025 for the first and second grades of general secondary school, the ministry indicated that in light of what was stated in Ministerial Resolution No. (138) of 2024 regarding the study and evaluation system for students in the general secondary stage, all directorates, educational administrations and schools must commit to preparing the October exams for the first and second grades of general secondary school at the level of the educational administration through the first subject supervisor according to Circular No. (49) dated 11/21/2022.
The ministry stressed that the exam paper includes multiple-choice questions at a rate of (85%) and essay questions at a rate of (15%) on the parts of the curriculum that were taught during the month, so that the exams are performed on paper for students in the first grade of general secondary school for schools (official - official languages - private - services) according to the technical specifications of the exam paper, as the first supervisor for each subject prepares three exam models that are submitted to the school administration for printing.
The ministry added that for the second year secondary school students who received tablets and whose schools are connected to the Internet, they will take multiple-choice questions electronically and essay questions on paper, and the essay question paper will be delivered at the beginning of the exam time as was the case last year. In the event of any technical problem in any subject, the exam will be taken on paper for that subject at the same exam time. As for students in schools not connected to the Internet or students who did not receive tablets in schools with an Internet network (private - services) or students who lost the tablet (breakage - theft - ....), their exam will be taken on paper, provided that the paper exam is the same as the electronic exam.
