On behalf of the Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, witnessed the activities of the Education Quality Forum under the title “Applications of Quality Assurance of Education on Military Educational Institutions and Institutions of a Special Nature”, Which is being held under the patronage of the Prime Minister, in the presence of Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister of Education for Teachers’ Affairs, Major General Dr. Hamid Abdel Fattah Al-Hamimy, President of the National Anti-Corruption Academy, Dr. Johansen Eid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, and a number of scientific and military figures .
In his speech, Dr. Tarek Shawky expressed his happiness with this important meeting, through which the achievements of Egypt’s 2030 plan, in achieving leadership and competitiveness in the outputs of quality education, as well as education quality projects that Egypt contributes to in the African continent, will be reviewed.
The Minister of Education said that this forum comes as a real and clear reflection of the vision and directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, which is the need for Egypt to restore its pioneering, pivotal, and active role in its Arab, African, regional and international environment.
Dr. Tariq Shawky added that when education represents a national security issue, it is necessary to emphasize the fact that there is no future for any educational system without real quality, and a qualitative development in its contents and goals, noting that the past few years witnessed a real commitment, and a clear trend towards adopting conscious policies. It aims to focus on the dimensions of quality and competitiveness, and to provide education and scientific research services as a right for all citizens, at a level of quality consistent with international standards.
Dr. Tarek Shawky stressed that developing education and considering quality as a basic pillar for this targeted development is not a separate process from planning to achieve sustainable development, as a more educated society leads to higher rates of innovations and inventions, and makes individuals more productive, noting that the inevitable and qualitative changes, Imminent occurrence in the joints of the global economy, and it is possible that changes will occur in the labor market and its needs, which involve the disappearance of some professions and the emergence of new professions, as a result of the amazing technological progress and the significant increase in the competitiveness of products worldwide, where the importance of quality education based on stimulating skills is evident. Creating a positive environment for innovation and creative initiatives.
At the conclusion of his speech, the Minister of Education expressed his wishes that these efforts would be crowned with success and achieve a high position for Egypt, which it deserves at the forefront of nations.
For his part, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, said that quality is the basis of education, whether military or non-military, as quality is a way of life in the whole world, pointing out that international standards for the quality of education affect the level of training and education outcomes affect the market. Work, and the political leadership is concerned with building the Egyptian person who has all the experiences and life ingredients, and we work on this through education that includes high quality that achieves desired results, stressing that education outcomes are the most important thing that we can achieve through international standards of quality, the National Authority for Quality and Accreditation and the international bodies accredited in the whole world.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research referred to the cooperation between military and police colleges and higher education institutions in Egypt, such as the National Anti-Corruption Academy, stressing its huge role at the national level, adding that national thought and discipline are a feature of military institutions, and there is cooperation in the transfer of expertise between military colleges and civilian colleges. He thanked the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation, the military institutions, the National Anti-Corruption Academy and the Administrative Control Authority; To introduce this thought in various educational institutions and achieve sustainability.
For her part, Dr. Johansen Eid expressed her pride in this forum, which was adopted and called for by the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation of all parties to the educational system in Egypt, both civil and military.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education and Accreditation spoke about the quality of education, and the existing cooperation between the Authority and various military education institutions, which resulted in the accreditation of many of these institutions.
Dr. Johansen Eid stressed that the quality of education is no longer a shadow task, but its natural place is to be at the forefront of the procession of education, noting that there are many challenges that those concerned with education and the quality of the educational system must deal with to prepare generations capable of keeping pace with the requirements of the century. The twenty-first century, as a result of the unprecedented cultural leaps and qualitative transformations.
The forum witnessed the ceremony of handing over the accreditation certificate to the Administrative Control Authority, in order for the National Anti-Corruption Academy to obtain accreditation by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, and a session entitled "The Importance of Obtaining Accreditation and Added Value", in addition to a workshop entitled "Standards for Accreditation of Military Education Institutions and Educational Institutions" of a special character."
