Based on the directives of Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, to pay attention to educational activities, which aim to create a new generation of creative students, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, represented by the General Administration of Cultural and Artistic Activities of the Services and Activities Sector, organized the activities of the third theatrical arts festival for students Education in all its stages at the level of the Republic, at the Education City Theater in the Sixth of October.
Dr. Ilham Ibrahim, Head of the Services and Activities Sector, said that the importance and necessity of this festival is to reveal the creative students in the artistic and cultural field, and to create a new generation capable of communication, stressing that Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, gives great priority to the activities In order to build the conscience of the student, and that the Ministry continues to support activities of all kinds to build the authentic Egyptian personality to create a creative generation that is beneficial to its society and country.
Dr. Iman Mohamed Hassan, head of the central administration for student activities and general supervisor of the festival, confirmed that the ministry provides all fields for school students to practice student activities, because it contributes to shaping the student's personality and reveals his talents, as Egypt's schools are full of creative and talented people in all fields. And that this year, despite the Corona pandemic, the students insisted on participating with full force and promised that this year's festival would be one of the strongest artistically and organizationally.
Atef Al-Ajmi, Director General of Cultural and Artistic Activities and Director of the Festival, indicated that this year's session bears the name of the able artist (Safa Abu Al-Saud), who will participate artistically with the student activities team at the Ministry in a distinguished operetta. Al-Ajmi praised the wonderful effort made by the member of the Advisory Committee Haitham Fath Al-Bab, who made a great effort and support for the success of this festival, stressing that the first five places are given valuable prizes, as well as financial incentives are given to encourage students to engage in activities of all kinds, adding that the first place will receive a prize of ( 8000) pounds, the second for (4000) pounds, the third (2000) pounds, and the fourth and fifth (1500) pounds.
Dr. Haitham Fath al-Bab, a member of the Higher Advisory Committee for Activities Development, explained that 19 governorates participated in the festival, namely (Cairo - Aswan - Gharbia - Damietta - Luxor - Minya - North Sinai - Alexandria - Ismailia - Qena - Beni Suef - Red Sea - Sohag - Fayoum - Giza - Suez - Sharkia - Dakahlia - Kafr El-Sheikh), and (1400) male and female students participated in the preliminary qualifiers within the directorates, who were judged by a committee specialized in theatrical arts.
The artist, Mohamed Sobhi, said that school theater implants moral values ​​in the hearts of students and contributes to creating an educated and aware generation, praising theatrical arts festivals and their role in acquiring values, stressing that theater and art are essential elements in building a person, and what the festival provides is an added value to the country, and thanked all workers Those in charge of the work and the idea.
The celebration was attended by Eng. Ahmed El-Khatib, a member of the Senate, Mr. Mohamed El-Hamami, a member of the House of Representatives, Major General Sayed Nasr, the former governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, the artist Mohamed Sobhi, the artist Safaa Abu Al-Saud, the artist Azza Labib, the artist Kamal Abu Raya, the artist Karim El-Husseini, and a number of artists and managers. School theaters nationwide, school administrators, students and parents, and a number of ministry leaders.
The ceremony included a promo of the winning theatrical performances, the operetta “There was no other word for Egypt” by Safaa Abu Al-Saud, and the operetta “Farah Misr” for the student activities team at the Ministry of Education.
At the end of the festival, the festival shield was presented to the artist Mohamed Sobhi, the artist Safaa Abu Al-Saud, the artist Azza Labib, the artist Karim El-Husseini, Dr. Iman Hassan, Mr. Atef Al-Ajmi, Dr. Haitham Fath Al-Bab, Engineer Ahmed Al-Khatib, Major General El-Sayed Nasr, Mr. Mohamed Hamami, and Ms. Madiha Abdel Karim, a member of the jury, in addition to presenting special jury awards and certificates of appreciation to the participating students and teachers for the best (actor, actress, performance, directing, melodies, idea, heritage, lyrical voice, clothing, lighting, decor, graphic, production, makeup). The festival concluded with the victory of Alexandria Governorate, Yathrib Private School for the theatrical performance (The Road to the King) and Minya Governorate, Al-Zahraa Private School for the theatrical performance (The Captured Lake) in equal first place, and Luxor Governorate, Al Salam Private School for theatrical performance (Rebellion above the Clouds), won second place. The third place was won by Damietta Governorate, Children’s Paradise Schools, for the theater show (Dokan Jeddo), the Gharbia Governorate, Queen School for theatrical performance (The Secret of the Buried Book), and the fourth place was won by Aswan Governorate, Al-Salam Private School (Sahaba Seif), and North Sinai Governorate School The special message for the show “Building the Future.” Cairo Governorate, St. Mary Elias School, won the fifth place for the “Beauty and the Beast” show. Dr. Ilham Ibrahim, head of the services and activities sector, was honored with the festival shield.
