Ministry of Education: Adding two marks to the result of some students in the scientific section in the physics exam
In the context of what has been circulated about increasing the grades of some high school students in the scientific section, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education confirms that out of its concern for the interest of students and their access to their rights, the Ministry has taken a number of measures with regard to correcting the physics exam.
In order to achieve the principle of transparency, the Ministry clarifies the following:
The two answers (B and C) were considered correct for Question No. 34 (Form A) and its equivalent in the rest of the forms in the physics exam. Accordingly, two marks were added for the students who chose the answer (B) and their results were modified.
The Ministry has taken all measures in full cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding amending the student format after adding the two grades for students in the scientific section who chose answer (B) to ensure that they obtain their rights and achieve the principle of equal opportunities.
Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, decided to refer the committee responsible for reviewing the exam and the answer model after it was completely withdrawn from the question banks for urgent investigation in the Ministry’s General Department of Legal Affairs due to the lack of accuracy in the answer model.
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education confirms that all the measures it has taken over the past few days and announced with the utmost transparency come within the framework of its keenness and inherent responsibility for students to obtain their full rights.
