Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, Mr. Fuji Hisayuki, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Iwai Fumio, the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the accompanying delegation visited the "Egyptian Japanese School" in Zahraa Nasr City, to follow up on the progress of the educational process there.

This came in the presence of Ms. Nevin Hamouda, Advisor to the Minister for Strategic Relations Affairs and Supervisor of Egyptian-Japanese Schools, members of the Japanese Embassy and members of the International Cooperation Agency "JICA" Cairo Office.

During the tour, the two ministers and the Japanese ambassador inspected the school's various facilities, which include 9 classrooms for kindergarten and primary school levels, where they expressed their admiration for the ideas and learning methods followed by students in Tokkatsu activities, which aim to enhance understanding of lessons and instill personal hygiene habits such as washing hands and teeth, in addition to instilling values ​​and principles in students' behaviors.

The two ministers and the Japanese ambassador praised the school students, as they commended their practice of scientific experiments in the science lab, expressing their admiration for the activities practiced by students, including the use of natural materials and aromatic oils in the manufacture of skin and hair care products, as well as in the manufacture of perfumes and aromatic detergents.

The attendees also witnessed children's drawings prepared in cooperation with parents, which dealt with Japanese fashion and culture to promote the principles of values ​​and respect for others, and the drawings included the students' names written in the Japanese style on traditional Japanese paper.

The two ministers and the Japanese ambassador also witnessed a sports show presented by kindergarten students to the rhythm of music during the physical education class, and the show included effective ways to direct children to play in groups and enhance cooperation between them.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif praised the exemplary educational level implemented in the school, in addition to the distinguished diversity in activities and various fields, providing a suitable educational environment for students, as well as group learning and cooperation between students in implementing school activities.

In this context, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif appreciated the efforts of the workers in these schools, stressing that Egyptian-Japanese schools are among the successful educational models in Egypt, as they provide an educational model based on curricula designed according to the latest international systems, noting that the ministry is keen to expand this type of schools, which currently number 55 schools in 26 governorates with a total of about 16,226 male and female students and 2,671 male and female teachers, explaining that there is a great demand for these schools.

For his part, the Japanese Minister expressed his happiness to visit the school, appreciating the efforts of the Egyptian state to develop education, and praising the scientific level of students and the educational services provided to them.

Mr. Fuji Hisayuki, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Japan, also stressed the Japanese side's keenness to enhance cooperation with the Egyptian side to continue upgrading the educational system in Egyptian-Japanese schools, which represents a strong symbol of cooperation between the two countries.
