"Education" launches the initiative of the African National Olympiad in Arts, Sciences and Mathematics "Innovation and Entrepreneurship"

The Ministry of Education and Technical Education, represented by the services and activities sector, under the auspices of Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and headed by Professor Ilham Ahmed Ibrahim, Head of the Services and Activities Sector, launched the first activities of the National and African Olympiad in Arts, Sciences and Mathematics "Innovation and Entrepreneurship", through Video conferencing technology.
The meeting was attended by Imad Mansour, head of the central administration for addressing educational dropouts, representing the public education sector, Dr. Wael Al-Saeed, director of the central unit for managing the transition to the labor market, representing the technical education sector and head of the Entrepreneurship Innovation Committee, and Dr. Jihan Allam, director of the General Administration of Sports and Military Education, and members of the Olympic Committee. The National Council for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and a number of university professors and technical education workers, and scouts and guides officials in the educational directorates.
The head of the services and activities sector welcomed the attendees and presented an overview of the sector development plan and an introduction to the idea of ​​the Olympics, in the framework of the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Republic, on the sustainable development strategy, Egypt’s Vision 2030, and the plan of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, which includes launching the services and activities sector The Ministry has the initiative to establish the National and African Olympiad in sciences, mathematics, arts, literature, tourism and archeology, which seeks to discover talents in the mentioned fields among Egyptian school students with the participation of people of determination, and to support and develop them in a scientific manner participating in its development and implementation by senior professors specialized in Egyptian universities, consultants and mentors of materials and activities, and the best selection is selected Projects with transparency and integrity.
The Olympiad targets all the Republic’s schools and villages schools in which a decent life project is implemented to develop students’ love of exploration, adventure, research, knowledge and curiosity of knowledge, enabling them to acquire decision-making skills, solving problems, developing their spiritual and moral values, discovering, developing, refining and encouraging students’ talents and talents in all fields, in addition to To create a spirit of cooperation and participation and a sense of the importance of the role of the individual in the group and the importance of the group to the individual.
It also aims to provide students with the opportunity to express themselves freely and unleash their vital energies within the framework of correct educational values ​​and ethics, develop the spirit of loyalty and belonging to the homeland, invest free time in purposeful educational activities that serve the individual and society, develop a spirit of cooperation and enhance students' positive behavior and spirit of innovation.
During the meeting, the members of the National Olympiad for Innovation and Entrepreneurship reviewed the concepts and mechanisms of entrepreneurship, and the attendees in the educational directorates participated in presenting practical applications for generating ideas and how to discover the talented student in this field, as well as the mechanisms for student evaluation and the form for this, and the emphasis on preserving the rights of students and patent.
