The Minister of Education refers those responsible for the incident of the Agouza School student to legal and disciplinary accountability

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and all those working in education, extend their sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the student “PMF” at Sayed Al-Shuhada School in Mit Oqba affiliated to the Agouza Educational Administration, who died as a result of her fall from the third floor, which led to her death following Arriving at the hospital.
The minister decided to disburse a financial support of 100,000 pounds to the family of the deceased student, in addition to the support provided by the Student Insurance Fund.
The Minister also decided, in coordination with the Governor of Giza, to suspend the school director, the role supervisor and the classroom teacher from work and refer them to investigation in preparation for urgent and firm legal action against all those proven responsible for the incident, in addition to the investigations launched by the Public Prosecution regarding criminal responsibility.
The Minister also directed the Educational Buildings Authority to conduct a review once again of all school buildings to ensure the safety and security of buildings in schools nationwide, and to close any school or educational facility that proves that it needs comprehensive maintenance and poses a danger to the lives of our students.
The Minister directed the Ministry's Follow-up Department to make surprise inspection visits to schools in the various governorates of the Republic, and to hold accountable those who failed to perform their practical duties.
The Minister also directed all directors of educational directorates to form an engineering committee to ensure that the review is completed on the safety of all school buildings, and to provide the ministry with reports as soon as possible.
