Dr. Muhammad Mujahid, Deputy Minister for Technical Education, inspected the training of agricultural technical education teachers in order to raise the capabilities of teachers and provide them with the necessary competencies to conduct internal and external verification as one of the necessary requirements to ensure the correctness of student assessment and quality control according to the approved evaluation and verification regulations in this regard, in cooperation with the Project Strengthening agricultural business in the Egyptian countryside - Food for the Future - funded by the US Agency for International Cooperation.
Mujahid reviewed the various efforts made by the Ministry to develop technical education, and urged teachers to make more effort because of its impact on building technical education graduates and the economy, explaining that by September 2024 the developed programs will be implemented in all technical education schools, and by June 2027 they will be Examination of all students with the participation of representatives of the labor market, as a continuation of the participation in the current year of (1300) representatives of the labor market for students in the diploma stage.
Dr. Muhammad Musa Emara, Head of the Central Administration for Technical Education Schools, also reviewed the efforts made in developing agricultural education, and answered teachers’ questions related to the information on the implementation of the capital project. The provision of the necessary materials for training students and the need to review the readiness of schools and the validity of equipment to carry out practical exercises were also discussed.
He explained that the agricultural education teacher training plan with the project targets (89) workshops for (2901) participants in (70) agricultural technical secondary schools in (15) governorates, including: Alexandria - Beheira - Gharbia - Dakahlia - Sharkia - Ismailia - Qalyubia - Giza - Beni Suef - Minya - Assiut - Sohag - Qena - Luxor - Aswan.
Dr. Walid Salam, director of the project to promote agricultural business in the Egyptian countryside, expressed his happiness in cooperating with technical education in implementing activities that achieve the objectives of the strategy for developing technical education, praising the development efforts made in technical education, especially agricultural education, and the project's aspiration for further cooperation with technical education.
