The Minister of Education conducts an inspection tour of a number of schools in the Ain Shams

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, conducted an inspection tour this morning of a number of schools in the Ain Shams Education Administration in Cairo Governorate, to follow up on the regularity of the school year and the discipline of the educational system within schools.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif began his visit at "Al Nasser Salah El Din Elementary School" affiliated to Ain Shams Education Administration, which has (1347) male and female students.

The Minister's tour also included "Martyr Mustafa Hafez Elementary School", which has (1508) male and female students, "Amir Al Shuaraa Elementary School", which has (1132) male and female students, and "Helmeya El Zeitoun Preparatory School for Boys", which has (585) students.

During his visit to these schools, the Minister was keen to follow up on the implementation of ministerial decisions and instructions regarding the regularity and discipline of the academic year, verify the percentage of classroom density, and fill the teacher deficit.

During the Minister's inspection of elementary school classes, he was keen to follow up on the students' level and their performance in reading, and directed the development of a plan and programs for weak reading students, stressing that he will continue to visit these schools again to follow up on what has been implemented to evaluate the students.

During his tour of the schools, the Minister stressed the responsibility of teachers in following up on school assignments, class notebooks, and evaluations Weekly, and the implementation of the decision of the year's work, directing the intensification of visits by follow-up teams periodically to schools to follow up on the implementation of the mechanisms for the year's work and the evaluation system for transfer classes.

The Minister of Education also stressed to the principals of the schools he visited to implement the regulations for educational motivation and school discipline, to achieve discipline within schools, and to use mechanisms to motivate students.

The Minister also reviewed during his inspection tour the extent of the implementation of the reinforcement and educational support groups within schools, directing their activation to achieve the maximum possible educational benefit for students, and to provide a better quality educational system for students within the school.

During the tour, the Minister praised the rates of student attendance in classes, and the regularity of the educational process, directing the continuation of motivating students to attend school regularly.

The Minister was accompanied during his tour by Dr. Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning and Follow-up, and Ayman Moussa, Director of the Cairo Education Directorate.
