The Ministers of Education, Communications and Information Technology and the Governor of the New Valley inspect Al-Amal School

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Major General Muhammad Al-Zamlot, Governor of the New Valley, inspected Al-Amal School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, affiliated to the Kharga Educational Administration, during the two ministers’ visit to the New Valley Governorate.

The two ministers and the governor inspected the school's classrooms to see the extent of care and support provided by the school to students.

Dr. Reda Hijazi stressed the need to provide activities that achieve the principles of the presidential initiative, companions "capable of differently" through the practical application of sign language skills, directing the publication of guiding boards in all schools of the governorate with the most frequently used signs for deaf and hard-of-hearing students accompanied by a QR code that shows the movement of the sign, in order to raise Community awareness, spreading the culture of sign language, facilitating their daily interactions, participation and integration into society.

During the visit, the two ministers and the governor also witnessed the presentation of a number of artistic paragraphs by the students in sign language, and the two ministers and the governor encouraged them, praising their performance and talent.

The minister was accompanied during the tour by Dr. Muhammad Megahed, Deputy Minister for Technical Education, Dr. Amr Basila, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education and Director of the Applied Technology Schools Operational Unit, Engineer Syed Abdel Aziz Attia, Director of the Education Directorate in the governorate, and Engineer Akmal Shawky, Head of the Central Department for Design at the General Authority for Educational Buildings.
