The Minister of Education receives high school seniors before they leave on a trip to Germany organized by Al-Jumhuriya newspaper.
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, was keen to receive high school seniors at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, before their scheduled trip to Germany, which has been organized by “Al-Gomhouria” newspaper annually for more than 60 years for high school seniors with the aim of learning about different cultures. Learn about the experiences of developed countries, gain experience, and visit the country’s prominent landmarks.

Dr. Reda Hegazy expressed his happiness at meeting the outstanding students at the top of high school, welcoming the participation of the prestigious Al-Gomhouria newspaper in organizing this visit for the students, indicating that the Egyptian state is keen to pay attention, nurture and support the outstanding and talented, and to complete this approach to invest and support the educational outcome.
The Minister sent a message to the outstanding male and female students, saying to them, “We are proud of you and provide you with all aspects of support and care, in cooperation with partner agencies, and all our efforts are combined for the sake of our students.”
The Minister also congratulated the students for their excellence, and for their well-deserved success and excellence, noting that the success of the high school exam system this year came as a result of taking many measures and steps to ensure the achievement of the principle of justice among students. The Ministry also took measures related to constantly changing committee chairs, and preventing... Student transfers, in addition to the procedures related to the correction process, which included reviewing question papers and answer forms before and after correction. The Minister reviewed a number of measures taken by the Ministry in conjunction with the start of the new academic year 2023/2024 to provide all means to ensure that students achieve the maximum rates of academic achievement and also reduce the burden on parents, the most important of which is making educational and training materials available for all educational levels, with a clear and in-depth explanation. And multiple training questions, as well as creating question banks from the beginning of the fourth grade of primary school to the third grade of secondary school, within the framework of the “Assessment for Learning” project, in which the student receives a report of his grades explaining the strengths and weaknesses, so that the student can determine his academic level, and it is made available on Ministry website.
The Minister also explained what had been accomplished for students of special needs, as activities were provided that fulfill the principles of the Presidential Initiative, Companions “Differently Capable” through the practical application of sign language skills, by publishing guidance panels in all schools of the governorate with the most frequently used signs for deaf and hard of hearing students, accompanied by a QR. A code that shows sign movement, in order to raise community awareness, spread the culture of sign language, and facilitate their daily interactions, participation, and integration into society.
Dr. Reda Hegazy also stressed that the role of the Ministry is to emphasize education before education, so the Ministry seeks to train psychologists and social workers on positive education, so that it will be an incentive for students and their families on how to deal positively.
Minister Ali said that we are all partners in encouraging outstanding students, which is an investment in human resources, stressing that the Egyptian state is keen to support the excellence, distinction and brilliance of its students and care for them, indicating that the School of Geniuses will be opened next academic year, to include outstanding and distinguished students in the class. The first in the distinguished schools of science and technology.
The Minister added that the teacher is the basic pillar in developing and activating the educational process, as there is no development without improving the teacher’s performance and training him so that he can deliver information to the student and enable him to perform the tasks and develop the skills that achieve self-development for them, while caring for them so that they can develop their talents and reach To the highest levels of excellence and creativity.
The Minister also reviewed the role of educational platforms, and the participation of the most famous distinguished teachers in various academic subjects at various educational levels to provide classes on educational platforms and channels, provided that they explain the curriculum according to the new system, as well as explaining question models according to the technical specifications of the tests.
The minister stressed to the students the need for them to be aware of the value of their homeland, telling them: “You are Egypt’s ambassadors abroad, and you must be distinguished in dealing and thinking, and benefit from the experience of your unique journey so that you return loaded with knowledge, skills, experiences, and new ideas.”
For his part, Iyad Abu Al-Hajjaj, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dar Al-Tahrir for Printing and Publishing, said that this meeting is a pride for all of us, and the organization of the trip to Europe was to encourage our outstanding students, appreciating the efforts of the work team that participated in organizing the trip, and expressing his appreciation to Dr. Reda Hegazy for everything he did. His clear and distinguished achievements benefit the students and the entire educational process.
Hajjaj praised the Ministry of Education's unprecedented stances this year for the benefit of students, appreciating the Ministry's efforts and new thinking in the development process.
For his part, Abdel Razzaq Tawfiq, editor-in-chief of Al-Gomhouria newspaper, thanked Dr. Reda Hegazy for successfully restoring calm and tranquility to students and parents, and for providing great support to students, stressing that the future in the field of education will be better at all levels in light of the ministry’s keenness to develop the educational system. According to a clear and purposeful strategic plan that seeks to develop students’ capabilities and keep pace with modern developments.
Dr. Reda Hegazy was keen to hold an open dialogue with the students, during which he listened to their visions and suggestions for developing the high school system. One of the students suggested the importance of providing a reference approved by the Ministry to explain the educational curricula and unify the method of understanding. Another student also suggested allowing critical thinking in literary subjects such as history and geography. Another student also saw that he faced a problem with the multiple choice questions in the biology curriculum exam, and suggested including the origin of the information in the curriculum to deepen thought. Another student also saw the importance of benefiting from distinguished teachers in the educational channels, while another student suggested studying mathematics in the scientific section. Sciences to raise the level of intelligence, expand the horizons of the mind, and focus on the scientific aspects of biology. One of the first blind students suggested studying computers in a practical way.
The students expressed their benefit this year from the balanced exams, and they also thanked Dr. Reda Hegazy for leaving room for them to present ideas and visions.
For his part, the Minister welcomed the students’ suggestions and opinions, expressing his happiness with these discussions and opinions that come with great objectivity from the reality of the field, indicating that he will study these opinions and how to benefit from them within the framework of the educational system development plan.
