"Education" organizes workshops for first-grade teachers to train on tokatsu activities in cooperation with Alexandria University
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education, in cooperation with the University of Alexandria, is organizing workshops for first grade mentors, primary school principals and primary school principals, on the “Basic Package” activities for public schools of all kinds and linked to the new curriculum system 2.0 at the level of the Republic.
The training, which will be held from July 23 to August 4, 2022, aims to train 9,646 teachers as a first batch in all governorates in coordination between the Egyptian-Japanese Schools Unit and the Central Administration for Basic Education.
Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, said that there is a great interest from the political leadership represented by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in developing the educational system in Egypt, to create future generations that keep pace with scientific progress in various fields.
Shawky added that the trainings for teachers continue throughout the school year on a specific philosophy that defines exploration, then learning, and then application, noting that teachers are leaders of change as Egyptian trainers who lead the process of changing education to build a person, and we maintain this trust, and emphasize responsibility, especially that we have teachers Skilled and geniuses capable of achievement.
For his part, Dr. Abdel Aziz Kansowa, President of Alexandria University, praised the political leadership’s interest in developing education in order to build the integrated Egyptian personality, pointing out that cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in holding a training course on “tokatsu activities” scheduled for public schools and linked to the new curricula system is a culmination. For a series of successful cooperation between the university and the ministry.
Dr. Konsowa said that education is the cornerstone on which the progress of any country is built, so education must be taken care of and work to be developed, explaining that training is the first stage and that there is an ambitious future plan.
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers’ Affairs, explained that the teacher is the most important element in the educational system, so the ministry is working hard to rehabilitate teachers and introduce training and development mechanisms on the latest skills, so that the teacher’s skills are compatible with the 21st century, within the framework of the directives of Dr. Tariq Shawky Wazir Education, technical education, and the importance of the role of the Egyptian teacher in improving the status and quality of education.
Mateo Nakajima, the chief Japanese expert, said that the workshops are under the supervision of a group of experts from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), which prepares reports on the progress and quality of the training process, in order to ensure that the scientific content of the workshops is delivered similar to what is applied in Japan.
