The Ministry of Education Honors Outstanding and Innovative Students in Applied Technology Schools)

Under the patronage of Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education organized a celebration to honor outstanding models in the Applied Technology Schools system for the 2024/2025 academic year. This celebration is part of the Ministry's support for technical education and strengthening the role of applied technology schools.

This celebration is part of the Ministry's strategy to enhance technical education and motivate students to innovate and create in the fields of modern technology. It encourages them to continue striving to achieve their ambitions, thus becoming leaders of change in their country. The Ministry emphasizes the important role technical education plays in building a generation capable of competition and innovation.

The celebration was attended by Dr. Amr Basila, Head of the Central Administration for Technical Education Development and Director of the Applied Technology Schools Unit; Dr. Amani Korni, Head of the Central Administration for Technical Education Schools; Ms. Shaima Mamdouh, Vice Head of the Applied Technology Schools Unit; Dr. Tamer Najm El-Din, Director General of the General Administration for Dual Education and Training; Dr. Fatma Nayel, Director General of the General Administration of the Technical Education Development Center; Engineer Fatma Badr, Director General of the General Administration for Equipment and Quality Assurance; supervisors from the Operations and Management Unit of the Applied Technology Schools; and a number of representatives from industrial partners.

Dr. Amr Basila, Head of the Central Administration for Technical Education Development and Director of the Applied Technology Schools Unit, emphasized the importance of celebrating the efforts and innovations of students, in appreciation of their efforts and the projects and research they have presented, which contribute to changing the image of technical education in Egypt.

He also paid tribute to the teachers and all those involved in the educational process for their efforts at the Applied Technology Schools, as well as to everyone who contributed to supporting students and developing their innovation, skills, and creativity. He also expressed his hope that the students would advance to the top positions in the International Skills Competition next year.

The ceremony honored 29 talented students and winners of international competitions, as well as the teachers who supervised their projects in the BASEF, ISEF, BLAST OFF, and the National Committee for Biological Sciences Youth Competition in the field of artificial intelligence applications in biological sciences.

The supervisors of the Applied Technology Schools Operations and Management Unit, media officials, academic directors, and representatives of industrial partners who won the "Media Officials" competition, which aims to raise awareness of the importance of technical and technological education, were also honored.
