The Ministers of Education and Culture discuss ways to enhance cooperation
Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received Professor Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Minister of Culture. To discuss ways to enhance cooperation mechanisms between the two ministries to enhance awareness and culture among students, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in the Administrative Capital.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, welcomed Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Minister of Culture, and the ministry’s leaders, appreciating the keenness of the two ministries to cooperate closely in building students’ culture and spreading cultural awareness in society, noting that this meeting aims to review future plans. To enhance cultural and intellectual awareness among students at all scientific, intellectual and cultural levels.
The Minister of Education stressed the importance of fruitful and constructive cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, which represents an important step within the strategy of building the Egyptian human being and Egypt’s Vision 2030, through activating activities and discovering talents among students in schools in various fields.
The Minister of Education also stressed that the Ministries of Culture and Education represent the wings of consolidating Egyptian identity among students and building the culture of future generations.
The Minister of Education added that the Ministry of Education is working hard in the next stage to enable students to develop their abilities and improve their behaviors to increase awareness and provide them with skills to interact with the environment and contribute to building their personalities culturally, socially and artistically.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Minister of Culture, said: “The Ministry of Culture believes that the Egyptian person is the true wealth of Egypt, and that is why we are working hard to build a conscious and creative generation capable of facing the challenges of the future, and this will only be possible through our integration, as education and culture are the two basic pillars of building This generation.
The Minister of Culture stressed that the Ministry of Culture's strategy works to strengthen cooperation mechanisms between the Ministries of Culture, Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research, as they are the golden triangle influencing students' identity.
The Minister of Culture added that the combined efforts between these ministries aim to discover and nurture talents by organizing various cultural and artistic competitions in schools, providing opportunities to participate in cultural activities, and expanding the base for discovering young talents in various artistic, literary and scientific fields, in addition to supporting creativity and innovation through Providing an incubating environment for creativity, and providing support to creative students, to encourage them to develop their ideas and turn them into reality.
The meeting witnessed a discussion of ways to spread cultural awareness, organize various cultural lectures and seminars, and provide school libraries with books that reflect national identity and the richness of information, as well as discussing mechanisms for organizing events and activities between the two ministries, as well as discussing the protocol signed between the two ministries to enhance student education and develop a mechanism for discovering and selecting talented people. Through capacity development centers to reach remote governorates and remote areas, in addition to preparing training courses within schools to educate students.
In addition, the meeting discussed ways to provide schools with more books in various fields, and hold seminars and storytelling workshops, especially for primary school students, as well as exchanging visits and school trips to the Document House, especially for middle and high school students, to introduce the depth of Egyptian history to develop their spirit of belonging.
The meeting was attended by the Ministry of Culture, Dr. Ghada Jebara, President of the Academy of Arts, Dr. Ahmed Bahi El-Din, President of the Egyptian General Book Authority, Dr. Osama Talaat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Books and National Archives, Dr. Nahla Imam, Advisor to the Minister of Culture for Cultural Heritage, and Dr. Walid Qanoush, Head of the National Library and Archives Sector. Fine Arts, Professor Muhammad Nassef, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Culture Palaces, Professor Ahmed Saudi, Head of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office, Dr. Muhammad Abdel Dayem, Assistant Minister of Culture for Investment and Development Projects, and Professor Radwa Hashem, Media Advisor to the Ministry of Culture.
On the part of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for International Relations and Agreements, Dr. Hala Abdel Salam, Head of the Central Administration for Public Education, Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, and Dr. Akram Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Curriculum Development, attended.
