The Ministry of Education reviews the services provided to students of the educational integration system:)

Within the framework of the awareness campaign launched by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in cooperation with the British Council under the title "School is a Place for All of Us", the Ministry reviews the educational privileges and services provided to students with disabilities integrated into public, technical and private education in light of the laws and regulations, in accordance with Egypt's Vision 2030.

The Ministry explained that the number of students of the educational integration system who benefit from these services is (159,825) male and female students enrolled in all schools of education of different types and stages.

The Ministry is keen to involve students with disabilities from special education schools and students of the educational integration system in participating in local and regional sports, cultural, artistic and recreational activities.

The ministry indicated that integration students also benefit from a number of rehabilitation services provided to students with mild disabilities at the Riyada Center for Special Needs in 10th of Ramadan, the Sensory Integration Center at Al Amal School for the Deaf in Matariya, Cairo, in addition to the Sensory Integration Center at the Intellectual Education School in Arish, North Sinai.

The ministry also confirmed that students are enrolled in special education schools or integration schools based on the choice of the guardian of the student with a disability, and it is possible to apply to join the educational integration system in all types of regular schools, during the period from June 1 to November 30 of the same academic year, for all types of disabilities in all grades.

In light of the commitment to providing a comprehensive educational environment that meets the needs of all students, thus contributing to achieving the principle of equality in education and integrating people with special needs into society, the Ministry indicated that the special needs education tracks in special education schools and classes aim to provide an appropriate educational environment for students with moderate and severe disabilities, as these tracks include schools for mental disabilities and associated syndromes such as: (Down Syndrome - Autism Spectrum Disorder - Cerebral Palsy - Slow Learning), as well as hearing impairment schools designated for (the deaf and hard of hearing), visual impairment schools designated for (the blind and visually impaired), and dual disability classes, which include 14 classes. These schools and classes cover all governorates of the Republic, ensuring that educational services reach all regions. The Ministry added that students with mild disabilities are integrated into general and technical education schools, to benefit from the various facilities and services provided by the Ministry, which enhances their educational opportunities and social interaction. The integrated disabilities include (mild mental disability - slow learning - autism spectrum disorder - Down syndrome - motor disability - cerebral palsy - hearing impairment - visual impairment - blindness - Irlen syndrome - learning difficulties - hyperactivity and attention deficit).
