Today, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education signed a joint cooperation protocol with Awan Al Ward Company to establish the B.L.S School for Applied Technology, which is specialized in the fields of agricultural development, agricultural productive projects, and clean energy.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Muhammad Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Education, and Marwa Yassin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Awan Al-Ward Company, in the presence of Dr. Amr Basila, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education, Director of the Operation and Management Unit of Applied Technology Schools, Dr. Muhammad Emara, Head of the Technical Education Sector, and Eng. Tamer Essa, Vice President of the Administrative Capital Authority for Agricultural Affairs, Eng. Amr El-Nashar, Country Manager for Egypt and North Africa at Rain Bird, Eng. Amr Hussein, Regional Director - Egypt at Rain Bird, Eng. Hussein Helmy, Senior Consultant for Landscape ECG, and Eng. Ahmed El-Abassiri, Development Expert and marketing of modern irrigation systems, and Dr. Asmaa Al-Nokrashy, fish farming teacher at Kafr El-Sheikh University.
Dr. Mohamed Megahed said that the B.S.L School for Applied Technology in Cairo Governorate, which is affiliated with Al-Shorouk Educational Administration, is the 47th school of applied technology schools. Under this protocol, the school will specialize in the areas of agricultural development, agricultural productive projects and clean energy, in cooperation with Awan Al-Ward Company, through which work will be done on Equipping students with the competencies needed by the local, regional and international labor market, and preparing graduates who are able to perform operations related to the fields of agricultural development, agricultural production projects and clean energy efficiently and effectively and in accordance with the latest internationally followed systems in these fields, by taking into account the application of international standards in teaching, training and evaluation methods. And the curricula followed, where the theoretical side of the school will be applied on the basis of curricula based on the system of merits and the practical side by providing workshops and practical training for students in cooperation with Awan Al Ward Company.
Dr. Amr Basila confirmed that the ministry is working on applying the priority specializations specified for the state, and the number of academic specializations applied in schools of applied technology has reached 70, including specializations that are applied for the first time in Egypt, such as clean energy, pottery industry, sustainable tourism, industrial intelligence, and renewable energy. , monitoring and warning, digital games, jewelry making technology, financial services marketing, palm cultivation, 3D printing, retail trade, agricultural engineering, and food processing.
Amr Basila indicated that the applied technology schools, within 5 years, have become a center of attraction for many students who have completed the preparatory stage in various parts of Egypt, in addition to being a model that expresses the confidence of businessmen and investors in the Egyptian government, and the effective and tangible measures and steps it takes towards developing the sector. industry in Egypt.
For her part, Marwa Yassin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Awan Al Ward Company, expressed her happiness at signing the protocol to launch the B.S.L School for Applied Technology, and her pride in the efforts made by the Egyptian state in all sectors, especially the education sector, pointing to what Awan Al Ward Company is doing to serve the Egyptian community. , and its contribution to the strategy of building the Egyptian man, producing a successful human element and creating a new generation capable of leading according to modern changes to adapt to the new republic.
