Minister of Education Receives Yemeni Ambassador to Egypt)

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, today received Ambassador Khaled Mahfouz Bahah, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Egypt, to enhance cooperation in the field of pre-university education and benefit from Egyptian expertise in this field.

The meeting was attended from the Yemeni side by Dr. Hadi Al-Sabban, Cultural Attaché at the Embassy; Dr. Munif Al-Dhubyani, in the Ambassador's Office; and Mr. Mohamed Bafdhal, in the Ambassador's Office.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif emphasized the depth of the historical relations and fraternal ties between Egypt and Yemen, emphasizing that the relationship of cooperation and friendship between the two countries is characterized by trust and respect, and is based on a strong foundation of mutual understanding and a desire to strengthen cooperation in all educational fields, for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.

For his part, Yemeni Ambassador Khaled Mahfouz Bahah expressed his pride in the close and distinguished relationship between Yemen and Egypt, emphasizing that Egypt is one of the most important countries supporting Yemen. He also expressed his aspiration to strengthen bilateral cooperation and modernize cooperation mechanisms in the educational and pedagogical fields, to serve the interests of students and enhance the exchange of expertise between the two countries.

The meeting discussed several important topics related to education, most notably ways to support the educational process for members of the Yemeni community in Egypt, in accordance with Egyptian laws and regulations, with the aim of maintaining the quality of education and providing distinguished educational services for the benefit of students.

The meeting also addressed the development and updating of the existing cooperation protocol regarding the executive program for educational cooperation, with the aim of improving implementation mechanisms and enhancing coordination between educational institutions in the two countries. It also addressed the activation of cooperation programs in the field of technical education and vocational training, through an executive program for cooperation that allows for the transfer of Egyptian experiences in this field and the development of joint programs that contribute to preparing a generation of Yemeni professional competencies qualified for the labor market.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides affirmed their determination to work together to advance educational cooperation, strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and friendship between Egypt and Yemen, and look forward to establishing joint training projects and programs that will contribute to the development of the Yemeni education sector.
