Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received a delegation from the World Bank. This is within the framework of periodic meetings to follow up on joint cooperation files to develop the pre-university education system.

Dr. Reda Hegazy expressed his happiness with this meeting, which confirms the depth of fruitful and constructive cooperation with the World Bank, noting that the periodic meetings with the World Bank aim to discuss the topics and mechanisms that contribute to developing the educational process, supporting education reform on an ongoing basis, and correcting the path of development.

The Minister stressed that the political leadership pays great attention to the education file and provides all aspects of support to develop the educational system, in order to create a new generation capable of achieving comprehensive development aspects.

During the meeting, the Minister reviewed a number of important files implemented by the Ministry, noting that the focus is on the axis of literacy and addressing difficulties in reading and writing, especially in the early stages of education before the third grade of primary school, as the Ministry is committed to a plan through which the difficulty is diagnosed and addressed, stressing The Ministry is making a great effort in this regard.

The Minister also pointed out the Ministry’s interest in the support and communication axis to raise awareness of all parties related to the Ministry’s efforts to develop the educational system. Therefore, the General Administration of Support and Communication was created, which focuses on awareness and delivering targeted messages to students and teachers at the republic level, and monitoring and evaluating reactions, which is ultimately reflected in supporting efforts. Developing the educational system in its various aspects.

The Minister added that the Ministry, through the General Administration of Support and Communication, conducted 16,062 awareness-raising meetings in all governorates across the Republic, especially with regard to electronic content on the Ministry of Education’s website for curricula, and the evaluation of all concerned groups (students, teachers, and mentors) was monitored.

Dr. Reda Hegazy also stressed the Ministry’s keenness to raise the performance levels of teachers and develop their professional skills and abilities in line with the targeted development of the educational system, through developing a set of training programs and packages that are in line with the latest global trends. To keep pace with cognitive and technological development and achieve the quality of the educational process.

For his part, Andreas Blom, Director of Education in the Middle East and North Africa region, expressed his great happiness at this meeting, and stressed the continued provision of all forms of support to implement the Ministry’s strategic plan, and support the implementation of various training packages for teachers.
