The Minister of Education meets with the UAE Minister of Education

Mr. Mohammed Abdul Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met with Ms. Sarah bint Youssef Al Amiri, Minister of Education in the United Arab Emirates. This came on the sidelines of his participation in the Human Capability Initiative (HCI) conference, which is being held on April 13 and 14 in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, and is organized by the Human Capability Development Authority.
The meeting discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries, as well as ways to exchange expertise and best practices in the field of pre-university and technical education.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif emphasized the depth of the distinguished relations between the two countries in various fields, noting that the recent period has witnessed significant development in their bilateral relations.
The Minister of Education emphasized that the Ministry seeks to intensify its efforts to develop the education and technical education system, which represents Egypt's future. He reviewed the model of applied technology schools, which the Ministry seeks to expand in various specializations, in partnership with the private sector and international organizations, with the aim of graduating students with advanced professional skills and preparing students qualified to compete in the labor market. He noted that the number of schools currently stands at approximately 90 applied technology schools.
The Minister added that the Egyptian Ministry of Education seeks to expand these types of schools, adding various specializations to meet the needs of the labor market, in addition to providing job opportunities. For graduates locally and internationally.
For her part, Her Excellency Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, Minister of Education of the United Arab Emirates, emphasized the importance of this meeting, affirming the UAE's keenness to strengthen cooperation with Egypt in various fields, especially pre-university education.
The UAE Minister of Education also praised the efforts of the Ministry of Education in developing the educational process, appreciating the model of applied technology schools.
The meeting discussed developing areas of joint coordination and cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the educational field. The exchange of educational expertise and experiences in a number of educational projects was also discussed, as was the exchange of expertise in teacher training.
