Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, chaired the meeting of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Educational Buildings, which was held today, in the meeting room at the Authority’s headquarters, to find out what the Authority’s projects have been accomplished during the fiscal year 2021/2022, and the position of the Decent Life Initiative (first phase). And discussing the draft budget for the fiscal year 2023/2024, and the financial position of the investment plan for the fiscal year 2022/23.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Wazir welcomed the new members of the Authority’s Board of Directors, Major General Hisham Mostafa Fahmy, Dr. Engineer Walid Abbas Abdel-Qawi, Dr. Essam Jalal Shaat, Amal Farouk Alaa El-Din and Mohamed Sami Mohamed. The Minister also praised the constructive and developmental role played by the Authority in The process of building, replacing and renovating schools.
During the meeting, Dr. Reda Hegazy directed to update the standards brochures for the Egyptian-Japanese schools, the Nile International Schools, and the schools of the national project for partnership with the private sector, and to follow up the privatization brochures for these schools nationwide.
Major General Yousra Salem, Chairman of the General Authority for Educational Buildings, reviewed the Authority's achievements during the fiscal year 2021/2022, and the position of the Decent Life Initiative (the first phase), where 1,131 projects were established, with a total of 15,332 classrooms out of the total school building projects, and 1,301 projects to develop and raise the efficiency of buildings. School buildings, indicating that the percentage of completion of projects is 94% of the total targeted school building projects that are listed in the villages of the Decent Life Initiative within (52) centers within (20) governorates. He also presented the draft budget for the fiscal year 2023/2024, and the financial position of the investment plan for the fiscal year. 2023/2022.
