The Ministers of Education and Culture inspect the Cairo International Book Fair in its 54th session)

Today, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, made an inspection visit to the pavilions of the Cairo International Book Fair in its 54th session. He was received by Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture.
Dr. Reda Hijazi praised the good organization and the great success achieved by the exhibition, noting that it receives great support from the state, which contributes to its continued development and achieving a distinguished position, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Culture and those in charge of the exhibition.
He also stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to interact and communicate with the Cairo International Book Fair, by organizing trips for school students to come to the exhibition, as well as the artistic events that the Ministry of Education participated in during its period, as well as encouraging students to visit the exhibition regularly. For her part, Minister of Culture Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani praised the fruitful cooperation between the Ministries of Culture and Education and Technical Education in several fields, noting that the coming period will witness the announcement of a number of joint events and activities between the two ministries aimed at building a new, educated and open generation that is aware of its rights and duties towards the homeland.
The Minister of Culture said, "Because the book is one of the most important basics of education and awareness-raising, cooperation is under way with the Ministry of Education to provide school libraries with the Ministry of Culture's publications. Lists of titles issued by the Ministry in its publishing sector have been prepared and classified to suit the different stages of basic education."
To ensure that the cultural product reaches the largest number of students, the two ministers agreed to broadcast animated and illustrated films for children produced by the Ministry of Culture and shown at the Cairo International Book Fair on our school channels, and to discuss the production of competition programs to discover talents.
The two ministers inspected the pavilion of the presidential initiative (a decent life) and the pavilion of the Military Research Authority (Ministry of Defense).
The two ministers also inspected the pavilion of the Police Research Center (Police Academy) and the pavilion of the Administrative Control Authority, and listened to an explanation of the oversight plans to train children on moral values, where Dr. Administrative control departments.
The minister distributed souvenirs to the students participating in the various artistic, sports and social shows at the exhibition, and the students of the General Union of Student Unions accompanying him during the tour, which consisted of a set of books to encourage them and urge them to read.
The two ministers ended the tour by inspecting the children's ward in Hall (5), and the children's books in the ward.
During the inspection tour, the minister was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Bahey El-Din Al-Asassi, head of the Egyptian General Book Authority, Dr. Iman Mohamed Hassan, head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, Dr. Jihan Allam, Director General of the General Administration of Physical Education, Amr El-Desouki, Director General of Activities, and Ahmed Moussa, President of the General Federation of Student Unions. And a number of students from the General Union of Egyptian Students and students participating in the sporting, artistic and social activities of the ministry at the exhibition.
