The activities of the “Speak Arabic” celebration for students of an international school in Cairo, which was organized today by the Ministries of Immigration and Education, kicked off, in the presence of Ambassador Nabila Makram Abdel Shaheed, Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, and Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, in light of the presidential initiative “Speak Arabic” Launched by the Ministry and enjoys the generous patronage of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to consolidate the Egyptian national identity among our children, deepen their belonging and instill a sense of patriotism in them.
A number of ambassadors for the "I Speak Arabic" initiative participated in the events: Ms. Samah Abu Bakr Ezzat, the writer specializing in children's literature, Dr. Medhat Al-Adl, the great author and poet, and the media representative, Dr. Dina Abdel Karim, member of the House of Representatives, preacher Mustafa Hosni, media professionals Dr. Mohamed Fathy, Yasmine Nour El Din and Ahmed Salem, along with Mr. Nader Younan, one of the pioneers of private education in Egypt, and Mr. Maged Fawzy, Director of Well Spring Foundation.
During the events, the two ministers crafted different forms of palm fronds, and celebrated the Ramadan lantern, as an embodiment of one people with one identity, and the attendees participated in many activities.
For her part, writer Samah Abu Bakr Ezzat expressed her happiness in cooperating with the Ministries of Immigration and Education, explaining that participating in today's event with the children of international schools is the first application of the directives of the President of the Republic during her honor to meet His Excellency, and His Excellency's assignments to intensify activities and writing during the coming period in the field of National literature for children to achieve awareness for future generations in a simplified manner regarding the axes of Egypt’s national security and ways to achieve sustainable development, as well as raising children’s sense of patriotism and implanting national values ​​and ideals in them from a young age.
She added that her participation also comes within the framework of continuing cooperation in the "Speak Arabic" initiative, which she previously participated in through several events for Egyptians abroad on the sidelines of the Egyptian Entities Abroad Conference, as well as inside the Egyptian pavilion at the World Expo in Dubai.
While the great poet and author Dr. Medhat Al-Adl said that this initiative is very important, as it is an enlightening work aimed at preserving our identity, pointing to the importance of Arabic language teachers in schools, as the Arabic language is a very important language and abroad they translate artworks and poems from Arabic into their own language, pointing out that He was keen that his sons be well acquainted with the Arabic language and its grammar.
The celebration witnessed a breakfast party for all the attendees in a cheerful atmosphere with the students, then many games, activities and competitions were organized that convey the lofty traditions and values ​​to the new generations, in addition to the broadcast of the official song of the presidential initiative “Speak Arabic” throughout the events, which was sung by singer Carole Samaha and written by Dr. Medhat Al-Adl, and "Ramadan cartons" were filled to be distributed to the neediest families, as well as taking souvenir photos to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan and one of the scatterings.
The Ministry of Immigration launched the “Speak Arabic” presidential initiative in September 2019 and officially entered into force in October 2020, then it received the generous sponsorship of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, with the aim of confronting the war of obliterating the identity of Egyptians abroad and strengthening and rooting the patriotic spirit within them, in addition to To consolidate the values ​​of peaceful coexistence, citizenship and acceptance of others.
