Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received, at the Ministry's General Office, British Ambassador to Cairo Gareth Bailey, and his accompanying delegation, to discuss strengthening cooperation in the field of education development between the two countries.
Dr. Reda Hegazy welcomed the audience, pointing to the state's efforts to develop education in Egypt, which aims to improve the educational experiences of our students in a positive way through the new education system, in cooperation with a number of partners, by introducing new curricula and developing each of the teaching tools. and educational aids.
In his speech, the minister pointed out that international public schools offer an international educational model that relies on curricula designed with the latest trends in the world, saying: "International public schools have achieved great success in light of the high demand for them, which confirms the community's confidence in the educational system, and we seek to expand in established in the coming period.
He pointed out that there is a national program to train teachers in cooperation with the British Council, which aims to improve teaching and training practices and raise the level of the English language and the educational ability of teachers at the level of the Republic.
For his part, Gareth Bailey, the British ambassador to Egypt, said that Egypt has taken extensive measures in developing education and moving towards introducing technology into the educational process, noting that education is a very important point in the history of relations between Egypt and the United Kingdom.
The British ambassador praised the new curricula applied by Egypt in the new education system, noting that the United Kingdom offers many scholarships to Egyptian students in many disciplines.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Daher, Deputy Minister for Technological Development, Dr. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for Administrative Development and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office, Dr. Hanim Ahmed, Advisor to the Minister for International Cooperation, Dr. Iman Sabry, Director of the Department of Private and International Education, and Elizabeth White, Director of the Cultural Council Briton, Ruth Cox, vice president of the center, Fakher Jeffrey, director of the examination center at the center, Hala Ahmed, director of programs at the council, and Shaima Al-Banna, director of the education program at the center.
