Within the framework of the keenness of Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, to raise the level of student education and pay attention to learning outcomes, the Ministry held a meeting with representatives of the British Council to discuss joint cooperation files.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Reda Hijazi, Deputy Minister of Education and Technical Education, and representatives of the British Council, namely Ms. Sahar Khamis, Professor Fakhr Jaafari, Professor Yasser Ali, and Fatima Al-Zahra Ezz El-Din, Director General of Official and Distinguished Languages ​​Schools.

The meeting dealt with intensifying cooperation between the Ministry and the British Council in preparation for the accreditation of international public schools (British certificate only) from the British Council as a donor. Accreditation allows three types of certificates (Edexcel-Cambridge-Oxford), provided that the British Council supports schools and prepares them for accreditation.

During the meeting, it was agreed to cooperate with international public schools (British Certificate IG) by the British Council to facilitate examinations and accreditation for these schools.

The representatives of the British Council expressed their desire to increase their numbers at the level of the various governorates.

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers Affairs, said that a meeting will be held between the ministry, international school principals and the British Council to determine the accreditation mechanisms, examinations and facilities that the council will provide to cooperate with the ministry to promote this promising quality of schools.
