Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met with a delegation from the Cambridge Examinations Authority, at the Ministry’s General Office to discuss a number of cooperation files between the Ministry and the Authority, foremost of which is cooperation in increasing the number of Egyptian Nile schools.

At the beginning of the meeting, the minister welcomed the delegation, stressing the continuation of the strategic relationship with the Cambridge Examinations Authority in the file of the International Nile Certificate, and that there is an ambitious plan to increase the number of Egyptian Nile schools during the next stage, which teaches the Nile International Certificate curricula designed through cooperation with the Cambridge Examinations In implementation of the mandate of the President of the Republic, there are currently 14 schools nationwide.

The minister explained that the ministry launched several initiatives aimed at motivating the private sector and investors to participate in educational projects, including the Egyptian Nile Schools, in a way that achieves the ministry's mission and the desired return on investment at the same time.

The Cambridge Examinations Authority delegation praised the cooperation with the Ministry of Education in many fields, including the Egyptian Nile Schools, and the cooperation in setting the general framework for many curricula.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Daher, Deputy Minister for Technological Development, Dr. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for Administrative Development and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office, Brigadier Tarek El-Baz, Head of the General Secretariat Sector, Dr. Akram Hassan, Head of the Central Department for Curriculum Development, and Dr. Amani El-Far, Director of the Nile International Certificate Unit in the Ministry.

The Cambridge Examinations delegation included Annie Michelido, Deputy Director of Global Engagement, Dr. Hanan Khalifa, Head of Education Development and Strategic Partnerships at the University of Cambridge, Dan Bray, Director of Evaluation, Abigail Barnett, Deputy Director of Curriculum Programs, James Thompson, Director of Development, and Dr. Mai Al-Haddad, Academic Adviser to the University of Cambridge.
