Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, announced a package of decisions taken by the ministry to provide full support to students of determination, raise their efficiency and develop their skills, including the publication of guiding boards with the most frequently used signs for deaf and mute students, accompanied by a QR code that shows the movement of the signal, and circulate it to all schools in the Republic. Incorporating them into the books of values and respect for the other, within the framework of the presidential initiative, Rufaqa, "They are capable of differently"; This step aims to raise community awareness, spread the culture of sign language, and facilitate their daily interactions, participation, and integration as an authentic partner in society. The Ministry is also working to develop academic content for students of determination to include educational activities and treatments that are commensurate with their disabilities.
This came during the celebration of the Festival of Activities of Creative Students of Determination, under the title "Creative Capable", at the stadiums of Al-Saeediya Military Secondary School in Giza, which was attended by Dr. .
Dr. Reda Hegazy directed all directorates of education nationwide to organize a "Creative Capable" celebration, as a prelude to holding a large celebration in the ministry that includes the largest number of officials to honor these students and their families.
The minister added, during his speech at the ceremony, that the ministerial decision was issued to evaluate students of determination in the general secondary school exams, where the examination paper was modified to include objective questions (multiple choice) with a rate of 100% for students with mental disabilities, and the rest of the disabilities include 85%. Objective questions and 15% essay questions.
Dr. Reda Hijazi expressed his happiness at participating in this celebration, stressing that it came as an expression of the "Able to Differently" initiative, which the political leadership has given all attention to. Believing by His Excellency the President of the Republic that society appreciates its children with special abilities, harnesses all possible support and care for them, and considers their empowerment and integration in all aspects of life a noble and lofty goal.
The minister emphasized that the creativity of our students of determination depends on showing integration in its broadest sense, not just academic integration. Man is social by nature, pointing out that God created strengths in every person, and the role and responsibility of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education is to discover what God has bestowed upon them in terms of strength and creativity, and to help our students produce knowledge, and discover the innovators who lead the locomotive of progress, addressing a message to students from People of determination participating in the celebration, saying: "You brought joy to all the attendees through the distinguished works of art that they presented during the celebration."
The minister pointed out that showing the energy of "Creative Capables", supporting, developing and investing their talent supports their sense of self-confidence and respect for others. Therefore, the Ministry always seeks to provide education and implement the integration strategy for people of determination in various general education schools, with the aim of providing equal educational opportunities and ensuring distinguished educational quality for them.
Dr. Reda Hegazy indicated that the Ministry has expressed its concern for its children of determination by integrating (114,157) students in its public schools, paying special attention to (46,069) students with special education, and establishing (14) classrooms for people with multiple disabilities and caring for teacher training for our children with special education. Which reached (9762) teachers.
The minister said: "This festival came to express the Ministry's interest in providing serious opportunities for the participation of our children of determination in local and international forums and competitions. audio and intellectual education, supporting special education schools and integrating them with supportive technological devices to hone their skills and abilities, show their creativity, provide a copy of the curricula of the new education system (2.0) for students of determination, and employ electronic content suitable for people with different disabilities.
At the end of his speech, the minister addressed a word to the male and female students, wishing them all success and payment, expressing his happiness for their hope and leaping spirit, stressing that they are Egypt's hope for achieving a bright tomorrow.
For his part, Major General Ahmed Rashid, Governor of Giza, said: "This ceremony comes as a tribute and a true expression of the firm belief in the capabilities and capabilities of people of determination, whose contributions are increasing day by day in shaping the present of this country and building its future, within the framework of the assignments of His Excellency Mr. President The Republic is committed to spreading a culture of caring for people of determination and integrating them into society, working to develop their capabilities and skills, and meeting their needs as active individuals in order to achieve the goals of the state and implement its projects and development programs as one of the priorities aimed at improving the lives of citizens within the constituent elements of the vision (Egypt 2030).
Major General Ahmed Rashid added that the governorate spares no effort in harnessing all the necessary capabilities and providing the best means of care for them, by providing the services provided to them, as well as supporting all educational, medical and recreational fields for them to work on developing their capabilities to achieve the greatest rates of development, progress and comprehensive renaissance in all fields. .
During the celebration, the minister and the governor witnessed a parade for people of determination, inaugurated a camp for hobbies and activities of scouts and gold champions, and an exhibition of scouting activities, in which students of people of determination from the departments affiliated to the Directorate of Education in Giza participated and presented their products (artistic - social - press - population environment - educational means). - Psychological Education - Home Economics), under the supervision of the directors of all activities.
Dr. Reda Hegazy conducted a friendly dialogue with students of determination, praising the distinguished exhibits, the interaction of students and their awareness of the challenges facing the country and the projects that have been completed. For their part, the students praised the development witnessed by the educational process and the interest they felt from the Ministry through the development of curricula in line with their circumstances. interest in investing their energies.
The celebration also included musical and theatrical performances, and honoring the mother of two students of determination.
