Minister of Education meets with Casio officials)

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met today with Mr. Masuda Yuichi, CEO of Casio and his accompanying delegation to discuss enhancing opportunities for cooperation in educational projects, in the presence of Ambassador Mohamed Abu Bakr, Egypt's Ambassador to Japan.

The meeting was attended from the Egyptian side by Dr. Hani Hilal, Secretary General of the Egyptian Partnership for Education, Ms. Nevin Hamouda, Advisor to the Minister for Strategic Relations and Supervisor of Egyptian-Japanese Schools, Dr. Hanem Ahmed, Advisor to the Minister for International Relations and Agreements, Ms. Amira Awad, Coordinator of the Ministry for United Nations Organizations, and members of the Egyptian Embassy in Japan.

From Casio, Mr. Ono Tetsuro, Executive Director, Mr. Sato Tomoaki, Senior Manager, Mr. Shinjo Koji, Senior Manager, and Mr. Kamada Taro, General Manager attended the meeting.

From Casio Middle East and Africa, Mr. Simiya Takashi, Director of Administration, and Ms. Fatima Rehan, Senior Education Development Manager, attended.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif expressed his appreciation to Casio for its cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, noting that this cooperation will open new horizons for innovating modern educational methods, which will enable teachers and students to benefit from the latest educational technologies.

The Minister stressed the Ministry's interest in modern technologies as a means of developing the educational process, noting that the use of technology in classrooms enhances the learning experience and gives students the necessary tools to excel in a world characterized by rapid change, noting that the Ministry is working to integrate modern technologies into educational curricula and train teachers to use them effectively, which contributes to improving the level of education and enhances students' ability to interact with knowledge.

The Minister also reviewed the Ministry's projects in developing technical education, especially applied technology schools, which represent an advanced model of technical education aimed at providing distinguished education in line with the needs of the labor market, as curricula are integrated with practical training in real industrial environments.

For his part, the President of Casio expressed his happiness with this meeting and cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, explaining that the company's goals include providing innovative technical solutions that support education, with a focus on mathematics education, as Casio seeks to provide scientific calculators and educational equipment that enhance the quality of education in various countries.

He also pointed out that Casio trained mathematics teachers in Egypt in 2018, and seeks to expand cooperation with the Ministry of Education to provide educational packages that include educational materials using scientific calculators, and training mathematics teachers.

During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation in the field of training mathematics teachers were discussed, which will provide advantages and expertise that can be disseminated across the African continent.
