Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Fund for Supporting, Financing and Construction of Educational Projects, to discuss the requests for support and funding presented to the Board, as well as following up on the position of the projects financed by the Fund in various governorates of the Republic, and presenting the support requests collected from the directorates and departments. Education at the republic level.

Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed the importance of the role of the Fund for Supporting and Financing Educational Projects in establishing, equipping, maintaining and renovating schools, educational facilities and centers within the framework of the national plan for economic and social development and the state’s general policy in the field of education.

The Minister of Education and Technical Education directed the need to exploit the budget available through the fund to develop the educational process, which faces many challenges and needs unconventional solutions to confront them.

During the meeting, Major General Mohamed Sami, Director of the Fund for Support, Financing, Management and Construction of Educational Projects, reviewed a presentation regarding the completion of preparing the final account of the Fund for the fiscal year 2022/2022, indicating that one of the Fund’s goals is to increase the support provided to educational projects.

During the meeting, it was approved to finance the establishment of a school complex (primary and preparatory) in the Al-Ahmadiyya area in the city of Aswan and provide financial credit. This is to reduce student density rates in the governorate.

The Board of Directors also agreed to finance the costs of implementing the exploratory and basic study for the Pisa 2025 study. This is in continuation of the approval of the National Council for Educational Examinations and Evaluation. Because of its utmost importance for evaluating the Egyptian educational system.

It was also approved to fund urgent maintenance work for the School of Excellence in Science and Technology in Obour, Qalyubia Governorate. This is to preserve the building as an asset of the Ministry.

The meeting witnessed the council’s approval to finance the electricity connection to the residence building for students at the School of Excellence in Science and Technology in Luxor Governorate.

The Board of Directors also approved the Fund’s contribution to financing the provision of 20,000 workers to be used as support services in schools nationwide for the academic year 2023/2024. Distributed among educational directorates, according to the needs of each directorate, in order to be used in assisting and supervising inside school buildings.

This came in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Mujahid, Deputy Minister for Technical Education, Dr. Ahmed Daher, Deputy Minister for Information Technology, Major General Mohamed Sami, Director of the Fund, Support, Financing, Management and Construction of Educational Projects, Brigadier General Tariq Al-Baz, Head of the Central Administration for Investment and Finance, and Brigadier Ahmed Nabil, Head of the Central Administration for Financial and Administrative Affairs. Counselor Ashraf Al-Sayyed, Legal Advisor at the Ministry, Major General Ahmed Saleh Zaghloul, Head of the Central Administration for Human Resources at the Ministry of Local Development, Dr. Mona Nasser Milad, Head of the Ministerial Meetings and Assignment Follow-up Unit in the Finance Minister’s Office Sector, and Mohamed Abdel Fattah Al-Maghrabi, Supervisor of the Human and Social Development Sector at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development. And Yasser Ahmed Abbas, Head of the Investment Services Sector at the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones.
