Minister of Education Chairs Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Fund
Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Fund for Supporting, Financing, Managing, and Constructing Educational Projects. This meeting reflects the Ministry's commitment to monitoring the implementation mechanisms of development plans and improving the educational process, as well as enhancing the efficiency of managing financial resources allocated to current and future projects.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments within the Fund and discussed ways to support priority projects to ensure improved educational services and achieve optimal developmental returns.
During the meeting, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, emphasized that the Fund for Supporting and Financing Educational Projects is a pivotal arm in implementing the Ministry's plans. He stressed the importance of optimal resource utilization to ensure the sustainability of projects and achieve the state's goals in developing education.
The Minister explained that the Ministry aims to focus on projects that directly address the needs of schools and students, while committing to regular monitoring and improving performance within the Fund to guarantee tangible results on the ground.
During the meeting, Mr. Mohamed Sami, Assistant Minister for the Fund for Supporting, Financing, Managing, and Constructing Educational Projects, reviewed the implementation status of the Fund's investments in educational facilities.
The Fund's Board of Directors approved the Fund's support to address the shortage of teaching staff for the 2025/2026 academic year, contributing to the stability of the educational process.
The Board also approved the request from the General Authority for Educational Buildings to support the infrastructure of the Nile International Egyptian School in Suez Governorate.
Furthermore, the Board members were informed of the approval of support for the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, with the Fund contributing to the cost of hiring support services for school cleaning, security, and guarding.
The Board was also informed of the Fund's support for the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to cover the costs of managing and operating the Education Quality Support and Measurement Unit, as a contribution to the Ministry's headquarters.
Furthermore, the Board approved support for the General Authority for Educational Buildings to supply 50,000 school desks to existing schools, as well as support for the Qena Directorate of Education to rebuild the Directorate's book storage building.
The Board also approved support for the General Authority for Educational Buildings to connect utilities to the STEM School for Gifted Students in Beheira Governorate.
The Board also approved allocating funds to the General Authority for Educational Buildings to provide equipment for the first phase of operation of the Egyptian-German School for the 2025/2026 academic year in 6th of October City, Giza Governorate.
This took place in the presence of Dr. Ayman Bahaa El-Din, Deputy Minister; Mr. Mohamed Sami, Assistant Minister for the Fund for Supporting, Financing, Managing, and Constructing Educational Projects; Brigadier General Tarek El-Baz, Head of the Central Administration for Educational Centers and Complexes; Brigadier General Ahmed Nabil, Head of the Central Administration for Financial and Administrative Affairs; Major General Mahmoud Hindi, Head of the Central Administration for Inspection and Director of the Government Department at the Ministry of Local Development; Dr. Mona Nasser Milad, representative of the Ministry of Finance; and the Board Secretariat, represented by Mr. Mohamed Hussein Ahmed and Mr. Mahmoud Younis Ibrahim from the Fund for Supporting, Financing, Managing, and Constructing Educational Projects.
