Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Major General Ahmed Gamal El Din, Advisor to the President for Remote Areas Affairs, Major General Khaled Shoaib, Governor of Matrouh, and Major General Mohamed Zamlot, Governor of the New Valley, witnessed, on Monday evening, the educational symposium of the Egyptian Federation for Sports Culture, in The framework of the closing activities of the fourth edition of the Border Governorates Olympiad, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

In a speech delivered by Dr. Reda Hegazy during the educational symposium, he stressed that, in implementation of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, regarding the need to pay attention to students’ physical fitness and exercise, we are witnessing today a sports event that brings together the border governorates, which includes 13 games, in which 25,102 male and female students participated. Schools out of a total of 85,000 participants.

The Minister of Education added that all students today are winners, even students who did not obtain centers, as they won by acquiring skills and experiences, and making new friends through this massive gathering.

The minister emphasized that the first goal is to expand the base of sports practice and take care of Egyptians from the border governorates. To build a distinguished generation in health, sports and culture.

Dr. Reda Hijazi appreciated the close and joint cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, indicating that human development is a shared responsibility, and a single ministry cannot play this role, but this happens through cooperation and coordination between all parties.

The minister explained, "We are all here today because we believe in the importance of practicing sports, especially school sports, which play a prominent and effective role in building the student's personality, by developing his athletic abilities and talents, in addition to its effective role in modifying and changing his behavior, in line with the values of society." ".

Dr. Reda Hegazy added that what we are witnessing today is the largest gathering that brings together the border governorates, in an annual event under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for the fourth year in a row, with the aim of communicating these governorates and integrating them into society as part of our great homeland, indicating that sports practices are considered The main factor in improving public health, developing loyalty and belonging to the homeland, as well as its role in discovering the talents of our children in the border governorates, and exchanging cultures between them, leading to strengthening the values of citizenship among schoolchildren to create a generation fit to build our dear homeland.

During the symposium, the ministers, the president's advisor for remote areas affairs, and the governors of Matrouh and the New Valley witnessed cultural competitions, singing performances, and various artistic performances. Dr. Reda Hegazy, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Major General Ahmed Gamal Al-Din, Major General Khaled Shuaib, and Major General Muhammad Al-Zamlot honored the winners of the sports competitions during the fourth edition. From the Sports Olympiad of the border provinces.

Dr. Reda Hegazy also received an honorary shield for urging school students to participate in the Border Provinces Olympiad.

During the participation in the events, the minister was accompanied by Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, Amr Shehata, Director of the Directorate of Education in Marsa Matrouh, and Dr. Jihan Anwar Allam, Director General of the General Administration of Sports and Military Education at the Ministry.
