Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received Vito Sisir, Commissioner for Scientific and Research Policies Affairs at the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the head of a German delegation, to discuss strengthening aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of education.

The German delegation included Vito Cesser, Commissioner for Scientific and Research Policy Affairs at the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Felix Halla, Cultural Attaché at the German Embassy, and Maha Wassah, Assistant Cultural Attache at the Embassy.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Reda Hegazy welcomed the attendees, stressing the keenness of the political leadership to enhance cooperation with the German government, and to benefit from its expertise in the field of education development, the development of human cadres in the field of technical education, and digital transformation, in accordance with the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Dr. Reda Hegazy affirmed the ministry's interest in the German language, as it is one of the most important languages taught in Egyptian schools. He also expressed the ministry's aspiration to benefit from the German government's expertise and enhance cooperation in this aspect.

During the meeting, the minister reviewed aspects of existing cooperation with the German side, the most important of which is the close cooperation with the Goethe Institute as one of the most important partner institutes with the ministry in many projects, as well as joint projects with the German Development Bank KFW. To support the quality of education in a number of governorates, stressing that there is strong cooperation between the two sides in promoting the German language in the field of technical education, building the capacities of teachers through the GIZ project, supporting the establishment of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority in Technical and Technical Education and Vocational Training (ETQAAN), and establishing an academy for teachers Technical and Vocational Education (TVET), in addition to supporting the German side in the expansion and quality assurance of schools of applied technology.

For his part, the Commissioner for Scientific and Research Policy Affairs at the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed his happiness with this meeting, expressing his thanks for the efforts made by the Egyptian government, and the development and positive results witnessed by the educational system, noting that the field of education is one of the priorities of Germany's cooperation with Egypt, and this It is reflected in German schools in Egypt.

Vito Sisir also praised the schools of (applied technology) in Egypt, stressing that the Egyptian state has become a pioneer in this field.

The meeting dealt with a number of important cooperation files, including the coordination steps to enhance cooperation in the ministry's plan to establish 100 German schools in Egypt. Ways to support the partnership with the Goethe Institute, the dissemination of the German language in Egyptian schools, and teacher training programs were also discussed, in addition to discussing the preparation and rehabilitation of Students of technical education and providing them with job opportunities in the German labor market.
