The Minister of Education chairs the meeting of the Higher Executive Committee of the STEM Schools for Excellence in Science and Technology)

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, chaired the meeting of the Higher Executive Committee of the STEM Schools for Outstanding Students in Science and Technology.

The meeting discussed preparing for the new school year 2022/2023, and some issues related to teachers and school administrations were also discussed.

Shadi Zalta, the ministry's media spokesman, said that the minister stressed that STEM schools are a bright spot in the history of Egyptian education, indicating that he hopes for their presence in all governorates.

Dr. Reda Hegazy explained that the state is interested in developing education, encouraging innovation, discovering and nurturing talented people in all academic subjects and school activities, and refining their skills in all disciplines.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Randa Shaheen, Head of the Central Department for Public Education, Dr. Ramadan Mohamed Ramadan, Director of the National Center for Examinations and Educational Evaluation, Major General Ahmed Abdel Fattah, Head of the Central Department of Security, Major General Yousry Salem, Director of the General Authority for Educational Buildings, Major General Nir Hamdi from the Educational Buildings Authority, and Brigadier General Tariq Al-Baz, Head of the General Secretariat Sector, Mr. Khaled Abdel Hakam, Head of the Central Administration for Secondary Education, Dr. Reda Abu Saree, representing the American Aid, Dr. Hala Al-Serafy, representing the American Aid, Mr. Ahmed Rizkallah, representing the American Aid, Dr. Muhammad Gad, the Director of the Professional Academy for Teachers, and Dr. Aziza Khalifa Director of the STEM Unit, Major General Omar Hammad representing CareService, Dr. Tamer Al-Masry, the Educational Research Center, a number of ministry leaders and the general directors of curriculum development.
