Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met today, Wednesday, with Lord Tariq Ahmed, British Secretary of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and the United Nations at the British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, at the end of his visit to the British capital, London, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the field of education. .

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed the long and extended cooperation ties between Egypt and Britain, expressing his keenness to strengthen cooperation mechanisms within the framework of the efforts undertaken by the Egyptian state to bring about comprehensive development in the educational system, praising in this context the role of the British Council in supporting projects. joint ventures in the field of education.

Dr. Reda Hegazy added, "We believe that the development of the education system in Egypt must take place in cooperation and integration between all relevant institutions, whether at the level of ministries, local organizations, or international partners, in order to achieve a comprehensive vision for the development of our educational systems in a way that qualifies us to deal with the challenges of age".

Dr. Reda Hegazy explained, during the meeting, that the ministry launched many initiatives aimed at motivating the private sector and investors to participate in various educational projects in a way that achieves the ministry's mission, pointing out that the Egyptian state always welcomes cooperation with the private sector in the field of education.

The minister added that the political leadership in Egypt attaches great importance to the comprehensive development of the educational system, whether in the field of developing curricula, or in the field of establishing new schools, welcoming in this context the strengthening of cooperation in expanding the establishment of schools.

Dr. Reda Hegazy indicated that the ministry also pays great attention to the gifted in all fields and various activities, stressing that the political leadership has directed to discover the gifted and talented, nurture them and invest in their talents. The requirements of the local and international labor market and their capabilities keep pace with global technological breakthroughs, pointing out that the ministry aims to expand these schools.

For his part, Lord Tariq Ahmed stressed the strength of the close relations between Egypt and the United Kingdom, indicating that the partnership between the two countries is a growing strategy.
