The Ministers of Higher Education and Education discuss cooperation between the two ministries

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held a meeting this Thursday morning, in the presence of a number of leaders of the two ministries, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education in the Special Education Building in New Cairo.

The meeting aimed to discuss preparations for holding a conference on developing the secondary stage in line with development paths in higher education and the needs of the labor market.

The meeting also discussed the topics and axes that will be discussed in the conference, as well as the committees required to be formed jointly between the two ministries, as well as the measures required to be taken during the coming period to come up with a joint vision that will be presented during the conference.

Preparation for the launch of the national conference to hold a community dialogue on developing the secondary school system comes based on the mandates of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to bring together all parties related to the educational system locally and internationally to listen and discuss all opinions to reach the best mechanisms for developing the system in a way that achieves flexibility in paths and pluralism. Attempts to evaluate and alleviate the suffering of families in a manner consistent with the requirements of the labor market and international competitiveness.

The meeting was attended by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities, and Dr. Abeer Al-Shater, Assistant Minister for Technical Affairs and Supervisor of the Knowledge Bank, and Dr. Ayman Farid, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning, Training and Qualification for the Labor Market, and Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, media advisor and official spokesman for the Ministry.

This meeting was also attended by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Ramadan Muhammad Ramadan, Assistant Minister for Examinations and Educational Evaluation, and Dr. Akram Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Curriculum Development, and Mr. Khaled Abdel Hakam, Head of the Central Administration for Educational Directorates Affairs, and Mr. Shadi Abdullah Zalta, media advisor and official spokesman for the ministry, and Mr. Mohamed Sharif from the Minister’s Technical Office.
