The Ministry of Education completes preparations for the launch of the 2024/2025 high school exams

The Ministry of Education and Technical Education announces the completion of its preparations for the launch of the General Secondary School Certificate exams for the 2024/2025 academic year tomorrow, Sunday, June 15, 2025, in all examination centers nationwide. This comes amid strict directives from Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, to implement all procedures and preparations to ensure the smooth running of the exams.
The total number of students taking the exams this year is 768,353, taking the exams under the new system, and 45,522 under the old system. The number of examination centers is 1,973, in addition to 9 prison committees, 6 hospital committees, 24 committees for blind students, and 17 committees for students at schools for excellence in science and technology. The number of observers is 120,232, and the total number of examination centers is 2,029 throughout the country.
The Ministry of Education explained that all examination committees across the governorates have been fully equipped and provided with all the necessary equipment to ensure the smooth running of exams and to provide a suitable environment for students. Teacher and supervisor lounges have also been completed in all governorates, equipped with all the necessary amenities to ensure optimal performance during the exam period.
In a related context, the central operations room at the Ministry of Education and Technical Education headquarters in the Administrative Capital has been set up to monitor the smooth running of the examination process in all governorates, as well as to coordinate with governors and relevant authorities to ensure appropriate procedures are in place around examination committees.

The Ministry also emphasizes the need to maintain discipline and order within examination committees and to provide an appropriate environment that helps students take their exams in a calm and committed atmosphere.
The Ministry emphasizes its firm and legal action against all violations, particularly attempts to cheat, whether traditional or electronic. It also intensifies inspection procedures to prevent the bringing of mobile phones or any other electronic devices into examination halls.
