Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Ministry and the Education First Foundation to raise the professional competence of teachers and train them on the new education system.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers' Affairs, and Dr. Salma Abdel-Baqi Al-Bakri, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the "Education First" Foundation.
Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education, stressed the importance of the teacher’s role in changing the culture and reforming thought among parents and students, and the need to follow learning methods, not indoctrination and memorization, skills development and research, and the use of the Knowledge Bank and other educational platforms provided by the Ministry, indicating that it will remain Education is always the biggest and most important investment in building nations and peoples.

The minister explained that the protocol aims to raise the professional competence of teachers in official language schools through sustainable professional development and training (organizing conferences, educational seminars, programs, activities, student grants, and conducting educational competitions).
Dr. Salma Al-Bakry confirmed that the joint cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the Education First Foundation began in 2015 over six years of continuous work to extend for three new years until 2024, explaining that sustainable professional development targeted more than 15,000 teachers and 2,000 educational leaders. Between a school principal, a school agent, and a director of the official and distinguished language schools.
The protocol includes providing all the correct data for the trainees, obligating the trainees to attend the agreed training hours, residing in the Education City on the sixth of October, or the places affiliated with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, and obligating the trainees who benefit from the activities of the second party to attend, and taking the necessary action in the event of their absence, or Deviating from the agreed-upon rules, granting the trainee an approved certificate for the training courses he has passed, in addition to conducting an evaluation every three months; To determine the continuation of the program or not, according to the results.

The signing of the protocol was attended by Dr. Sherine Hamdi, the Minister’s advisor for administrative development and supervisor of the central administration for the affairs of the Minister’s office, Dr. Randa Shaheen, head of the public education sector, and a number of ministry leaders, Dr. Hossam Badrawi, head of the Advisory Committee of the Education First Foundation, Dr. Mahmoud Hamza, Executive Director of the Foundation, and a number of Foundation leaders.
