Today, Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education witnessed the signing of a joint cooperation protocol between the Ministry and the Transportation Industry Company MCV to launch the MCV School of Applied Technology specialized in welding, electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance, and assembly and finishing of commercial vehicles in the new city of Salhia, Sharkia Governorate. For the academic year 2021/2022.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Mohamed Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Education Affairs, and Eng. Atef Talaat - Director General of Schools at MCV Group of Companies, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Moussa Emara, Head of the Technical Education Sector, Dr. Sherine Hamdi, Advisor to the Minister for Administrative Development and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office, and Dr. Amr Basileh, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education, and Director of the Operation and Management Unit for Applied Technology Schools, Eng. Karim Ghabbour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MCV Group of Companies, and Engineer Amin Karim Ghabbour, Production Manager at MCV Group of Companies.
Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, started his speech by pointing out the different sectors and fields that are applied for the first time in Egypt in the schools of applied technology, and the last of them is the transportation sector applied at the MCV School of Applied Technology and its paramount importance and an important role to achieve the comprehensive and sustainable development that Egypt seeks .
The minister referred to the Egyptian state’s efforts to expand in many different sectors and fields to achieve Egypt’s Vision 2030, explaining that the ministry concludes many agreements with various ministries and major local and international companies and industrial institutions; To graduate qualified and trained technical workers at the highest level and capable of keeping pace with the changes and development that are taking place in the Egyptian state.
In a related context, Dr. Muhammad Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Education Affairs, said that the ministry is working to expand and increase the number of schools in various governorates, pointing out that the MCV School of Applied Technology is the third applied technology school to be established in Sharkia Governorate, and the merit system will be implemented in the curricula. The applied technology in the school is similar to that of the schools of applied technology, and work will be done on balancing the application of the theoretical and practical aspects of the study process; To ensure that the student acquires all the necessary skills that qualify him fully for the labor market.
Dr. Amr Basileh, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education, and Director of the Operation and Management Unit for Applied Technology Schools, said that in just 3 years, the number of applied technology schools reached 27 schools, and the schools became the focus of the attention of many students. This academic year, more than 40,000 male and female students from all over the republic, and therefore it was necessary to open new applied technology schools to allow all students the opportunity to enroll in them. Applied.
For his part, Eng. Karim Ghabbour expressed his happiness with his cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, launching the MCV School of Applied Technology, and contributing to graduating a new generation of technical workers with international specifications that meet the needs of the Egyptian labor market, pointing to the company's strong belief in the importance of its cooperation with the Egyptian state. To serve the Egyptian community.
Engineer Atef Talaat explained that the evidence of the company's full interest in this cooperation is from the engineer Karim Ghabbour, that the company will appoint the school's graduates upon their graduation, and it will undertake their practical training throughout the years of study, in addition to providing financial rewards to all students during the training period, and giving them experience certificates from company.
