Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received a delegation from the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops and the General Secretariat of Catholic Schools in Egypt, to congratulate and discuss a number of issues.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Sherine Hamdy, the Minister’s advisor for administrative development and supervisor of the central administration for the affairs of the Minister’s office, and Iman Sabry, Director General of Private and International Education. The delegation included Anba Bakhoum Nassif, Patriarchal Representative and Legal Representative of St. George’s Schools in Nasr City and Heliopolis, and Archbishop Claudio Loratti, Latin Metropolitan in Egypt. Father Paul Sati, representative of the Patriarchs’ Council, Father Youssef Asaad, Sub-Secretary of Catholic Schools in Cairo, and Sister Samiha Ragheb, Director of Saint Joseph School in Zamalek.

Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed the role of the General Secretariat of Catholic Schools in Egypt and the interest in developing personal skills and values ​​for its students, noting that these values ​​help build the Egyptian person and help them acquire skills that enable them to continue in life.

Anba Bakhoum Nassif, Patriarchal Vicar, praised the ministry’s cooperation with the General Secretariat of Catholic Schools and its role in developing education, stressing that we are all working for the benefit of our beloved country, Egypt.

The meeting focused on many topics related to the relationship between the General Secretariat of Catholic Schools and the Ministry, including a definition of the nature of Catholic schools, which consist of one hundred and seventy-seven schools in all governorates, and have all kinds of schools that teach all subjects in Arabic and language schools (English - French - Italian - German ) and general education and technical education.

During the meeting, the school's mission to equip its children with sciences that will affect society, education, religious education, culture, behavior patterns and comprehensive upbringing, in addition to continuous scientific progress, was also reviewed.
