Within the framework of joint cooperation between the Ministries of Culture and Education and Art, the Central Administration for Student Activities and the General Authority for Culture Palaces announced the result of activating the cooperation protocol signed between the two ministries to implement a series of activities for school students in various governorates of the Republic during the months of November and October, with the aim of bringing the cultural product to students. in the various governorates of Egypt, discovering their talents and raising their awareness in the different stages of education.
As the number of activities implemented during that period reached 1,040 activities in 890 schools nationwide, benefiting more than 47,000 students in different age groups.
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, said that the activities day, which was implemented starting from the current academic year, aims to diversify the skills of students and discover talents in various fields within the strategy of building the Egyptian person, which is one of the most important axes of Egypt's development vision 2030, pointing to the importance of discovering Gifted and outstanding students in schools, as they are the ones who can make a difference in the future, until we reach an education that is productive of creativity.
Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, said that cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education represents an important step in the strategy of building the Egyptian man, as the activities and events organized by the Ministry by specialists in all fields of creativity contribute to discovering and refining the skills of talented people in the fields of arts and literature in The stage of adolescence and youth, in a way that helps create a conscious and enlightened generation, and the Minister of Culture stressed the intensification of work during the next stage and the continuation of cooperation to reach the cultural product for the largest number of schools in all governorates of Egypt.
The artist, Hisham Atwa, head of the General Authority for Culture Palaces, explained that the activities presented by a group of specialists from the authority inside the schools of 24 governorates and a number of cultural palaces included artistic performances, puppet theatre, skills workshops, discovering talents in arts, literature and scientific innovations, in addition to storytelling and reading workshops and information competitions. Film shows for children, awareness seminars, plastic arts workshops and art exhibitions for participants.
Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, confirmed that within the framework of Dr. Reda Hegazy's support for the activities and their practice; We work to enable students to express themselves, improve their behavior, and develop their abilities and talents, and to raise awareness and acquire our children the skills of interacting with the environment, communicating with those around them, and contributing to building their personality culturally, artistically, and socially.
The total number of activities and events in Greater Cairo and North Upper Egypt reached 224 activities, which were implemented in 172 schools in Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Fayoum, and Beni Suef, with a total of 10,036 beneficiaries.
The total number of activities and events in Ismailia, Suez, Port Said, South Sinai and North Sinai schools reached 166 activities in 150 schools, with a total of 6059 beneficiaries.
As for the Southern Upper Egypt region, the total number of activities and events, which includes the governorates of Aswan, the Red Sea, Qena, and Luxor, witnessed the implementation of 94 activities in 82 schools, with a total of 3,179 beneficiaries.
The total number of activities and events in Damietta, Kafr El-Sheikh, Sharkia and Dakahlia schools reached 201, in 178 schools, with a total of 8,685 beneficiaries.
In the West and Central Delta region, the total number of activities and events in Gharbia, Beheira, Matrouh, Alexandria and Menoufia schools reached 293 activities in 249 schools, with a total of 14,403 beneficiaries.
In the North Upper Egypt region, which includes Assiut, Minya, New Valley and Sohag, a total of 61 activities were presented to 4,719 students in 59 schools.
