The Ministers of Education, Youth and Sports are discussing measures to implement a "Decent Life" initiative to establish youth centers and schools in villages
Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met today at the Ministry’s general office, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports. To discuss ways of cooperation to benefit from the lands and buildings in youth centers in 50 centers targeted within the (Decent Life) initiative to establish a service community that includes (smart school classrooms).
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education, welcomed the attendees, saying that this meeting comes to activate the initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to build a "decent life" for the Egyptian people and provide a decent life for the most needy community groups, in line with the state's plan to advance the education sector Developing the educational system; To achieve comprehensive development, pointing out that we aim to have schools and youth centers in various Egyptian villages, and to provide the necessary spaces for construction in deprived villages.
Dr. Tariq Shawqi, Minister of Education, emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two ministries in determining the appropriate method and models for the services to be developed within the initiative.
For his part, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi stressed that the initiative of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, aims to direct all the energies of society to serve Egyptian youth at all different levels, whether planning, educational, sports or professional, indicating that this initiative opens future horizons for Egyptian youth.
The Minister of Youth and Sports added that Egypt's youth centers receive their youth in a dignified life initiative in all governorates of the Republic.
The meeting discussed the mechanisms of work to set up schools in youth centers in villages where there are no schools and provide smart classes in them, so that it is used as a school in the morning and in the evening period, it works as a youth center, preparing schools in villages and using them as youth centers, and developing the building to be suitable for practicing sports activities. And provide spaces for deprived villages to build a new complex that includes integrated service centers, including a school and a youth center.
It was agreed during the meeting between the two sides to study the targeted centers within the (A Decent Life) initiative to establish a service complex that includes (a school, a youth center), and to work out a map of these centers and prepare a working paper to discuss implementation procedures.
It is noteworthy that the Decent Life Project begins with the development of the poorest centers at the level of the republic as an urgent stage, and they have been confined to 50 centers at the level of 20 governorates, and they include 1391 villages in addition to 11087 farmhouses and their dependencies.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Daher, Deputy Minister of Education for Technological Development Affairs, Major General Akram Al-Nashar, Assistant Minister for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Major General Yusra Salem, Director of the Public Authority for Educational Buildings, Ilham Ibrahim, Head of Services and Activities Sector, and Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, Professor Ashraf Saleh is the Executive Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Al-Bajrami, Head of the Central Administration for Youth Establishments, Iman Abdel Jaber, Head of the Central Administration for Youth Centers and Youth Organizations, and Ahmed Saeed, General Director of the Technical Office of the Minister of Youth and Sports.
