The Minister of Education and the Governor of Dakahlia hold an expanded meeting with directors of educational departments)

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Major General Tariq Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, held a meeting with a number of ministry leaders, directors and deputies of educational departments in the governorate. To discuss issues, problems and future plans to develop the educational system in the governorate, as well as to discuss all proposals related to ways to confront student densities and teacher shortages.

This came in the presence of Dr. Ayman Bahaa El-Din, Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed Al-Adl, Deputy Governor of Dakahlia, Mr. Nasser Shaaban, Director of the Educational Directorate in Dakahlia Governorate, and a number of the ministry’s leaders.

At the beginning of the meeting, the minister said that the ministry’s current strategy focuses on addressing educational challenges on the ground, including the shortage in the number of teachers and high class density, in addition to finding effective mechanisms to attract students to schools, stressing the importance of solutions to these challenges being realistic and feasible. For implementation according to the nature of each educational administration.

The Minister explained that overcoming the challenges will result in providing a real educational process within the classroom, which will be reflected in a real demand by students for schools, in parallel with the activation of various activities in a way that provides real benefit to the student.

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif added that the challenge of student densities represents a cumulative challenge over many years and is linked to many factors, indicating that reducing student densities will result in increasing the teacher’s ability to provide better performance in the classroom and high-quality education.

The minister continued that his previous meetings over the past few days with various education leaders in the directorates resulted in the presentation of many mechanisms and proposals for realistic solutions to confront student densities, fill the teacher deficit, and attract students to schools, noting that solutions differ from one governorate to another and from one educational administration to another.

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif stressed that he places two axes as a top priority, which are the student’s ability to achieve adequate academic achievement within the classroom and providing all means of support to the teacher, stressing that no appropriate solution will be left without its implementation to improve various aspects of the educational system.

For his part, Major General Tariq Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, welcomed the minister’s visit to the governorate, stressing the governorate’s commitment to providing all forms of support to improve the educational process.

The governor said: “We are fully aware of the challenges facing education, and we work in close cooperation with all concerned parties to solve these problems and overcome the challenges with sincerity and patriotism, because education touches every Egyptian home.”

The meeting witnessed a discussion of mechanisms for addressing the challenges of class density and the decrease in the number of students in the classroom, in a way that suits the nature of each administration and each school through multiple solutions and implementable methods, in addition to presenting all mechanisms that eliminate the deficit in the number of teachers.
